What a delight to work with a local company who provides excellent results! Hometown Window and Door was hired to replace the sliding glass door to the patio. I was a bit skeptical due to having had a bad experience with a local company for other work; but Hometown Window and Door is a great company to work with from Sales through installation. Everyone is polite, helpful, and offers top-notch service every step of the way! The day the door was installed, the lead installer surveyed the location, then he and his team started the work which was completed on a timely basis including clean up! Except for the beautiful new door, you wouldn’t have
known there had been a door replacement. The door is beautiful!! I will definitely refer your company to family, friends and members of the community where I live. Thank you to everyone that worked on this project; I am ecstatic over the end result.
In May 2024, after waiting several months, we had five windows replaced by Andersen/Hometown Window and Door Company in our century old home. I went into this knowing it would be a large investment but the windows were drafty and old, and I knew that quality windows were necessary. I believed in this company's reputation, however, I am very disappointed for several reasons.
On day one, they were over an hour late, did not call and I could not reach anyone. I had already made a deposit of half the total cost, and I was beginning to worry that I had been scammed. The workers who finally arrived spoke some English, but it was difficult to communicate, and at times, they had to call a person who was bilingual in order for us to understand each other.
The windows were made too small for the openings. We were promised by the salesman that the windows would be the same size. My ex-husband pointed this out to the workers and they returned another day to cut pieces to fill in the gaps. My ex has since filled in another gap at the kitchen window and also did some patching where the workers did not replace deteriorating wood, though we were promised this wood would be replaced. The glass part of each window is smaller than the old windows by 10-20%.
The old windows inner parts, such as the counterweights, were not all removed, as we were promised.
We were told we would have handles on the windows like the old ones, but there are none. I am not tall and I have to get a step stool to open some of them from the middle wood edge.
The top-down open feature for easier cleaning is difficult to maneuver. On the salesman's sample, it worked like a charm.
I finally did receive the care information and other paperwork on the windows, after asking for it. We were told we would qualify for federal/state energy tax credits. We did not qualify.
This was a large investment and sacrifice for me, but one that I felt would add value to my home, reduce heating costs, and help preserve this special home that I hope to leave for future generations. The high price I paid for my windows did not match the quality of the product, the work, the service and the promises of the salesman. I have more windows and doors to replace in the future, but I am sorry to say I will not be a returning customer and cannot recommend this company.

From beginning to end, Hometown Window’s professionalism and performance exceeded our expectations. The salesperson contributed several valuable cost saving suggestions so that we could replace all 26 windows and stay on budget. The salesperson promptly answered all post meeting email questions. We signed an agreement at our 2nd meeting which included replacement of some exterior wood rot cedar boards. The 5-man crew were in constant motion as they set all the new windows on Day 1. The crew completed the wood frame exterior coil covering, cedar board replacement, caulking. and clean up on Day 2. They were perfectionists on all tasks. The 100 Series Anderson windows we chose will require us to replace our blinds from interior to exterior mounting. My wife is thrilled to have an excuse to replace the old blinds! We love our windows. The Hometown crew did a great job! They were very cordial and polite. They made sure we were happy with the work before they cleaned up and left. We highly recommend Hometown.

Installed a very nice looking exterior steel door. Unfortunately, it faces west. When the hot summer sun hits it not only is it extremely hot, but it bows (thermal bowing) so that it does not shut correctly. What a waste of money and time. Did not sell me the product that I needed. I expect "experts" in their industry to do better. Does not return calls/emails to try to resolve the issue.

We discovered Hometown Windows at the Home Show two years ago. We were interested in replacing several windows and one door so we asked for a quote. Curtis the representative arrived on time and was very helpful explaining how the process worked and provided us with a quote. The price was fair, but the delivery time was eight months away. We agreed to wait.
The demolition and installation were both completed in one day. The installation crew worked like a well tuned machine. The finished installation was completed on time and perfect.
We were very happy with the results so we bought additional windows last week. If you are looking for replacement windows I highly recommend this company.

Jon, was very knowledgeable about windows and all the possible options.
I was looking for a specific level of appearance and quality in my project. He was very thorough in measuring our windows from the interior and exterior. The two other contractors didn't take the time to look at the exterior of our current windows. Andersen windows will completely achieve the level of quality and service that I'm I come to expect in maintaining the appearance and energy efficiency of my country home. I definitely would recommend Jon and Andersen windows from Hometown Window and Door.
No vinyl can match the quality and appearance of wood.

Worst experience we have ever had. Ordered over $35,000 in windows after the home show on 2/7/2023. They were to be custom stained and we asked to be called when the windows came in before staining. Supposed to be delivered in June. Terrible communication throughout. August we get a call that they were coming in 2 days to install. No call to discuss the staining. They staining work was terrible, not only the wrong colors but the quality was awful. They were supposed to strip a window and redo it so we could see and approve before staining the rest. 3 weeks later they came with one of the badly stained windows. Said they’d strip them all and start over. Completely damaged the windows while stripping. Ordered the wrong color grids for all of them. They said they’d make it right and reorder all of our windows. A month later they still hadn’t done it. In November the order was just cancelled. 11 months and we still never got our windows. Other area Anderson dealers - look into those. Do not trust Hometown at all. We had told them from the start that good communication would be appreciated. The fact that they failed to communicate every step of the way and we had to harass them to get answers and constantly reach out was Ridiculous.

It is a great pleasure for my husband and I to highly recommend Hometown Window and Door Company. From the very beginning of the project Danny Reto was an excellent representative to explain the products and explain how our particular requests could be met. Danny continued to respond quickly and professionally the few times we had questions for him.
The very skilled and pleasant installers Brad Lee and Julio Pineda were wonderful. They used great care as they had to maneuver through our condo and we were extremely impressed with their positive presence, respect for our home, outstanding skills and attention to detail. They cleaned up thoroughly as they went which was greatly appreciated as well. Both men are real professionals and it was clear that they take pride in completing their work with excellence.
We appreciate our beautiful new windows and will certainly use Hometown Window and Door in the future if needed. Thank you!
