Clearwater designed and installed the backyard of our dreams! Everything from the pool & spa design, to the outdoor kitchen details... was more than we could have ever imagined. The owner, Jason, offered so many ideas that were insightful and helpful as we considered our options for the project... and he was involved every step of the way. Highly recommend Clearwater to anyone looking for a custom pool/backyard project.
It was night and day from the last time I went. I had lots of help, she took the time to explain everything I needed to do, and didn't even push me to buy anything. Now my pool is on its way to being beautiful and now I don't have to drive to Lansing woohoo ?

Very experienced folks and always find a solution to pool concerns. Open, honest, transparent conversations. Much appreciate. I would definitely recommend their services.

I walked up on 2 of these employees smoking pot at a gas pump in weston. Bunch of idiots

Two years in a row this establishment has not removed all the intake/outtake plugs when opening my pool. This year I told the workers there are 5 and to please remove all 5 as last year they only removed 2. Also, they did not put the skimmer in that was left 6inches from pool after opening exposing my pipes to debris. When I called to let them know there is still a plug left in an intake valve and my pipes were exposed to debris due to skimmer not in place, the lady argued with me, heavily sighed into the phone, cut me off repeatedly and said the workers don’t have time to come back to remove plug. Terrible customer service and paying for partially completed jobs!

Very unprofessional- they scheduled you an appointment and then don’t show up. You have to call them for updates as to where they are at ? Very very lazy and overpriced. They sell you a product demand payment make promises and schedule appointments and complete won’t show up to do so . Very unsatisfying the worst pool company I’ve ever dealt with . My next step will be to report to Better Business Bureau because it’s unethical and I know Leavenworth and Lansing communities deserve better .

We used Clearwater to install our inground pool and model our sidewalks in the early 2000's. We have used them for maintenance and winterization ever since. I got 13 bids and Jason's was by far the best. He also treated me with respect whereas many of the other bids, the men treated me like I was non-existent and looked at my husband when answering my questions. I would highly recommend. I provided Jason with a rough sketch of the curvy sidewalks with firepit areas around the pool and he provided me with an amazing design and finished product.

Jason and his team built us a custom pool in 2018. Overall, the quality of work was excellent and the pricing was very fair.
CONSTRUCTION: The pool was built right. All the stuff you don't see in the end was done well: earthwork, foundations, fill, rebar, piping. The liner was a perfect, smooth fit. We had custom concrete stamping and coloring, a water feature, and they even built our fence. Everything was done well! Since it's a new pool, I'll be sure to update this post in the future if we have problems, but I doubt we will.
PRICING: I was surprised when I shopped around, Jason's pricing is very affordable. Also, some contractors make their money on change orders. I'm happy to say there were no surprises. We were charged just as our contract read, and when we even added a few extras (cover, water feature, gas heater, fence) the pricing was transparent and fair.
SCHEDULE/COMMUNICATION: It looks like this is the biggest issue from other reviews. Here's the thing, these guys are busy! they have a back log because they're good! I'll admit that Jason was a bit hard to get in touch with before our construction started. BUT, once they started, communication was fine! It's obvious they focus on their current projects. Just remember they are a small company, they don't have a sales department or customer service department. You're talking directly with the owner, so give him a break! If you don't hear back just bug him, I don't think he minds. As far as schedule, he told us in January he though he could start in June. He ended up starting in July. He estimated our total construction time would be 3-4 weeks. It ended up being 6 weeks. That's not that bad, especially since we added some extras!
If you want the absolute most professional, responsive pool builder, maybe you need to call one of the big companies and pay more for a cookie cutter pool. For me, Jason and Clearwater were the best value.
We have an awesome, custom pool, that was pretty affordable. I'm happy we hired them!
