Choosing Metro Fence as the company to install our new fence turned out to be a terrible choice.
We had Metro install our fence in the Summer of 2021. After payment was made, things went south with poor communication and customer service.
Beginning within the first couple weeks of install, we began noticing scratches on top flat surfaces being caused by squirrels. We expect the installers had food residue on their hands while handling the fence or perhaps the packing material the fence was shipped in left behind something that attracted the squirrels. When called to Metro's attention, the owner said he would send a crew out to sand and paint these areas. After a number of delays and no shows, we gave up and painted the fence ourselves.
A much more serious matter has now come to light. It appears Metro nicked at least one of three LG&E lines running to our next door neighbor's house eventually corroding the wire causing a loss of power. This resulted in a loss of two freezers of food as she was out of town at the time. She additionally incurred expenses amounting to several thousand dollars due to the severed line. When calling Metro seeking some explanation and guidance, we never received a response from company owner David Johnson or any Metro representative despite several left messages.
This company is negligent. Their work is shoddy and careless. Their willingness to be responsive and communicative does not exist. Our choice of Metro has been an aggravation and now stands to be very costly.

Paid $8000 for a 257' treated yellow pine fence and a 10' gate that doesn't open. Four months and 5 or 6 additional visits later I gave up, and have recently finished paying someone else to tear down that new gate and replace it with a functional gate. Will not be doing business here again.

We've only lived in SC for 2 years, and don't know anyone; so when we needed to find someone to build a deck for our pool, we had no idea where to turn. Reviews can be faked, ads can be deceiving, and you hear a lot of horror stories. After talking with Joe on the phone and in person, we decided to hire him, and so happy we made that decision. We are very happy with the beautiful and very well-built above ground pool deck that Joe and his crew did for us. They were very professional, on time, and dedicated to the work at hand. I highly recommend this team of hard workers; I feel they are fair, trustworthy, complete the work as promised, and really care about the product they are giving you.
They take great pride in their work. they believe in seeing a job through and dont jump from project to project, leaving you to wonder when, or if, they will return. They pride themselves on getting the job done when they say it will be, and if that means working through bad weather, they do.
The deck turned out better than I imagined, quality work! And thanks for the "senior step Joe." We would definitely hire this company again!

Excellent work. I received multiple bids and Metro was both competitive and installed a quality product as well. We had a miscommunication at the start of the job on the clearance between our new aluminum fence with the grade, but they remedied that issue immediately and were willing to do whatever it took to ensure we were satisfied. I would highly recommend Metro for aluminum, residential fence installs like our project.

Metro Fence is the best! I love my new fence (had an aluminum fence with puppy pickets at the bottom and a white vinyl fence installed (in the back yard) Dave Johnson and his staff are very professional and very responsive to emails, phone calls etc. I highly recommend Metro Fence if anyone needs a new fence.
