My companies have been Varitech customers for years. Greg, Joseph, and Matt have always been on point for years servicing the 3 Generac generators that I manage. We most recently had our Automatic Transfer Switch replaced, which they coordinated with us so that we would have no downtime at our business which was essential to this project. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a generator or generator service. 5 star!
Greg and his team were first class. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend.

Asked them to come look at my generator that had stopped working. Mechanic (who was very friendly) came out and told me what all was wrong and quoted over $900 to repair all parts. I declined. He added oil and changed a spark plug which totaled $32.25 for the parts. My total bill ended up being $381!! I told the billing department this was ridiculous so they forwarded my message to the owner who then called me. I told the owner I was charged for 2.5 hours of labor when the guy was here less than an hour. I was charged for his travel and I was charged $65 for the service run (that should include the travel time to my home), plus their toll charges. I then asked why customers are being charged for the toll when that should be the companies responsibility for their company vehicles. He then replied "do you want me to come fix your generator?" in a rude tone. I told him what I want is to pay this bill and never use his company again because they are robbing people with these types of fees.
Also Greg, check the reviews. I’m not the only customer who feels this way. What’s going to happen is you’ll get us all once and we’ll never come back. Therefore you lose business.

We recently had them come and service our home generator. In terms of service I have nothing to complain about. They were professional and courteous and got our generator working again. My bad experience is more on how they bill their expenses. It was frustrating that after they send you the bill the two options are a money transfer or online payment with a 3% convenience fee not just for credit cards which I understand but for checking withdrawal. There was no option to pay in cash. 3% adds up pretty quick when it is something like generator repairs.

I had annual preventive maintenance done this month; oil and filter change with me providing the oil and filter; premium grade. When the service was scheduled the price wasn't disclosed and the technician couldn't provide me with the cost. When I received the invoice it was as much as last year's service and less work was performed. I sent an email to the office manager and got no response. I called today about my invoice and while Jessica was helpful; she informed me that Greg(manager or owner) told her to tell me that the price is as stated on the invoice and no change will be made. I will no longer do business with Varitech due to the owner's inflexibility to assist my request or even call me back.
