Aboustly horrible service in newport location. Company I work for has been coming there for 25 years and acts like they don't know who we are. Took 25mim to buy a 2inch pump.
Save yourself money, time, and frustration. Today is my epiphany to avoid this place. I've had not great experiences here before. It seems common that the equipment is missing the manufacturer parts, sometimes for simple things like linchpins. The solution should be for them to stock extra linchpins rather than provide a bolt and nut (sized so you cannot snug the bolt) which is bound to come off with the engines vibrating. I wasted time and money because the equipment I rented was missing a part. I returned the equipment the same day, within 3 hours on a 2 day rental because it was unusable as provided. Their solution was to charge me for a single day instead of two. This is meant to be a renter beware: either ask to see the equipment before you pay and insist all parts are to manufacturers requirements, or go to home depot or another tool rental shop. I prefer to avoid large corporation stores where possible. I know when it comes to tool rental, I definitely have had it with Art's. Besides being frustrated with them, I'm frustrated with myself for going there in the first place.

People are knowledgeable and helpful but sometimes not quick to get the item or items you rented.

I'm giving 2 stars for the ease of rental and return and price only! Rented a hand held stihl gas powered blower to help my 82 year old mother clean the massive amounts of leaves in her large yard. This blower was a big disappointment. It did not provide the air output expected of a gas blower. I have an electric blower that does as well or better. Finished the job and decided next day to blow the leaves in my small yard and it wouldn't start. Great! Returned to Art's and told guy at counter the issues. His reply " it's only a year old." Told him I had used gas blower before
That I had owned but only response was " You want a final receipt?" No apology, nothing. No smile. Poor customer service. Maybe if you're not a big construction job....well... very disappointed....

Got a 24 ft ladder for arts w/o truck ?
The fellas there took good care me & really made since to go there for the job I had thanks arts best price in town
