I have to disagree with this last review. Their price are substantially lower than home depot on 90% of items. If you know how home depot works, they undercut local suppliers on a few major items (the common stuff like Romex rolls) but then their prices are exponentially higher for all the other stuff (I bought greenies at both places, mikes price was $6.95 while hds price was $14.95 for a pack of 100!), and forget about finding special items you might need, like a three position switch. Customer service is fine (they're bit crabby, but in a charming their own way), and the staff is knowledgeable. It's a crap shoot at hd, you probably won't be able to find anyone who knows much of anything other than how to annoy the piss out of you.
Bought a a quick disconnect box for a water heater. Opened the bag to look and see if it’s what I needed. It wasn’t fused but decided I would give it a try. On my way home was called and told one was already purchased. Tried to return the box and the rude un professional supposed manager tried to refuse to refund my purchase. Saying I probably used it. I asked where is the sign that states no refunds if a box is opened. He looks around for a sign that doesn’t exist. He says well I’m the manager and that’s my policy. After calling me bubba 15 times through out the conversation and me telling him he’s gonna take the box back. He did. What’s even more laughable. A guy in the store is looking at something. He tells him to open the box and check it out. And then looks at me and laughs. STAY AWAY from this store. First and last time I’ll go here. So much for trying to support local businesses. If the owner sees this. GET NEW STAFF as I’ve read previous reviews and I see a trend.

Unfriedly, not helpful counter staff. Guy was pretty rude. Had about 80% of supplies needed to install a cut off switch for an airconditioner.

Very helpful folks. Tons of in stock parts. Prices competitive with the Depot also! They also own a construction supply house and a second location in Slidell.

TODAY MY AC had a blown transformer, Mr. Chris was prompt and willing to help me. All I can say is I have cold air again now saving hundreds on not having to call an HVAC technician I could've ordered the part online which would have taken a week, but thanks to the Mike's electrical I got my transformer today.
