If you want exceptional service and ideas and are looking for top-tier choices in all things tile, stone, mosaics, etc., this is the only place to find them here in New Orleans. The staff are very helpful.

As a practicing architect for over 35 years, my office has worked with tile/stone suppliers throughout the US and Europe.
After selecting a French pattern travertine at Stafford Tile & Stone for our own home, we requested samples of all of the tile sizes. Months later, I had to point out that the pieces were not finished the same. Only at this point, they admitted to using different suppliers for the already purchased stone. Noting, it was an unacceptable material and should not have been sold.
They offered only one replacement. However, it was a darker color, so we had to adjust other materials and colors selected months previously. Then there were delays in the delivery and once it arrived about 1/3 of the cartoons contained cracked pieces. Stafford counted 39 bundles containing at least one damaged tile. The frustration continued and due to a great installer we utilized some of the damaged pieces at my cost for additional labor.
There was a lack of understanding and assistance by Stafford, and they refused to pick up the remaining damaged material. I thought a professional interaction could occur, but their General Manager was rude and inaccurate with her statements.
In the end, the material was a compromise, created additional costs to the Client/Architect and a very frustrating experience.
I have tried several times to directly discuss this with the owner, but there has been no response.

Gorgeous store with huge selection of beautiful luxury tiles. I went in looking for a single specific tile and they were kind enough to give me an amazing piece of marble free of charge. I don't think everyone is going to get the same price I did, but I guarantee everyone will get the same friendly, helpful service. Thank you so much!
