We had Chris out for an inspection on an older house (Think 1900). This was for a house we had put an offer on, and despite the 4th of July coming up, they got us scheduled in a couple of days. He explained his process before he began, and seemed happy to answer any questions I had while he was going through the house. Small house 1200 sq ft. and he was done in about 90 minutes.

I highly recommend Finn Home Inspection. Chris was our inspector, and he was thorough, kind, and was able to explain things well to us. We received our written report the same day as the inspection, and it is also thorough. In addition, Finn Home Inspections gives customers an excellent, concise (and short!) book written by them about home maintenance. It's a great item to refer back to.

I had the chance to work with Finn home inspections this past week.
Chris was on site before I got there and he already walked around the property.
He has done a very detailed work. From exterior to interior. Walked me through all major steps of a home inspection and pointed out a few things that I would never caught by myself. He is very Professional and answer questions with easy to understand terms. Communicated with me and my agent in real time. We spent about 1 hour and 30 mins to go through the process. And the final report was out in an about 1 hour. Super efficient.
Would highly recommend to anyone trying to get a home inspection.

My experience was very positive. Chris was the primary inspector of the Great Barrington home, but Drew was on scene and active as well. While both were professional and no-nonsense, they were also personable and courteous, patiently pointing out and explaining areas of concern.
Additionally, the completed inspection was e-mailed same day as promised. The enclosed color coding and rating of each item inspected were easy to follow and understand.
Plus, Lesa fielded all of my calls to the office efficiently and cheerfully.

Great experience with Chris and the whole team. He was on time and very thorough. What we also appreciated was the fact that we were able to have a little fun and didn't have to keep the tone so serious the whole time. We really appreciated all his insights and observations and moved on to request additional inspections of specific areas of the property, based on his advice. Pricing was fair and everyone was transparent, and they and they had the full report to us in the timeframe promised. Plus, they continue to be available to us if we need anything or have questions.

Inspection was very detailed. The inspector was friendly and very thorough, professional and informative. Pointed out a few major problems found right away and the finished report was presented extremely quickly. The office was so easy to work with as there were a few changes due to seller’s schedule conflicts but the office handled it with such ease. I want to thank everyone there for their wonderful support!

Finn Home Inspection recently inspected a potential property purchase with three very old buildings. They provided a great deal of information, were very thorough and explained things in ways that were easy to understand. The final inspection report comes in a PDF and an electronic flip-book format which is a great way to read through all the information. The three people we dealt with, in the office and on site, were all top notch professionals. They clearly know their business and made the entire process easy.
