If zero stars was an option, it'd be my rating. I waited a while to write this review, but the test of time has confirmed my initial thoughts on Valor's shoddy performance, and I say that knowing full well that Valor is the area's budget option. To list a few frustrations:
-Failed to account for depth of cabinets, which forced them to put in a filler, which is an eye sore. Especially when spending 25K for an "expert" install (see picture)
-Wired a light fixture blindly and with no box, which is entirely against code. I found this recently when I was upgrading the original fixture, and this what finally prompted this review (see picture)
-Designed the kitchen for a 30" fridge when we explicitly asked for a 36". They only changed it after we said we would not make additional payments until it was fixed.
-Installed every piece of hardware crooked, which is not hyperbole. Literally EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. was crooked. Only after our prodding did they fix it and order new doors for the cabinets where the fixes could not be concealed
-Management, particularly Jack Pullins, required multiple calls/texts/emails to get attention about all the issues above
-Valor claims to be friendly to Veterans. I was an active duty Marine during the project, and I can say that Valor did not feel friendly. Rather, I felt like their baby sitter and hand-holder every step of the way.
There are a lot of great options in the area for home renovations, but Valor is not one of them. Save yourself some sanity and go with any other option.
Valor replaced our original roof (40+ years old). Everyone we dealt with, -- from the original salesperson, project manager, and the crew that completed the job, was extremely professional and courteous. The job was completed in 1 day, and we are extremely pleased with the final product. Valor's use of GAF shingles, underlayment, and cap system, and the Valor warranty, made our choice of Valor as our contractor, easy. I would highly recommend Valor, for any roofing replacement. We like the fact that Valor gives back to the veteran community.
Outstanding job folks!

Just had Valor replace my 26 year old roof. Their prices are competitive, supported by a great warranty and professional service. I had a quote and new roof within one week. Workers were professional, they covered and protected the exterior of the house and completed the job in 2 days. The roof looks amazing!

Valor Home remodeled two of my upstairs bathrooms (one main hall bath and one master) in Fall of 2021. This was not a good experience. The subcontractor hired the workers, which for the most part, did well. As with a previous one star review that was left on Google, my experience with the Valor project management left a lot to be desired! The project manager became very unprofessional and hard to get in contact with. He misled us on the color and size of the tile we ended up with for our master bath. We ended up compromising by agreeing to accept a similar (smaller) tile for another service (scraping/redoing the popcorn ceiling). I then left a review saying they were in the midst of our bathroom remodels and things were not going completely smooth but I would be back to give a fair review after all was said and done. Instead of addressing the issues we were having, they called to ask that I delete the review!!! Then, when we had complained about the height of the 6" shower curb (which for us was way too high for the narrowness of our shower area, and the project manager did not address the height of it with us beforehand). They did end up redoing the curb and took the height down to 3", but the project manager decided not to communicate with us from then on out. One morning, someone came and took away the shower doors that were laying in our driveway for days. This was after we had complained about the shower curb. We could only come to the conclusion that the money they lost in redoing the shower curb, they made up for by switching out our shower doors to a cheaper quality to make up the cost. I cannot prove that, nor can I disprove it, due of the lack of transparency. Nobody ever addressed us about it. Unacceptable. We chose Valor because it looked like they did a lot for military veterans and I have many veterans in my family - from uncles, to cousins, to brothers, to nephews. I appreciated that. In my experience, they do not live up to some of the standards that they promote. These were not complicated remodels. It took them 3+ months to do something that should have taken them about a month to do. Initially the project manager had told us 2 weeks! This was a terrible experience and I do not recommend them to anyone. Especially Veterans! We are now looking to remodel our main floor, including our kitchen. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Valor Home.
