After emailing a representative about a tile and not getting a response, I decided to visit the store to look at the tile I emailed about. I went to the store and was met by a sign that the showroom was open by appointment only. I had visited the store three weeks prior and that was not the case nor was the information on their website which I reviewed hours before the visit. Time is valuable. I will not be purchasing from Architessa and if I cannot find the tile I seek at another tile shop, I'll change my design.
For almost 15 years, Architectural Ceramics/ Architessa has been my go-to when looking for the perfect tiles for my design projects. When in the showroom, I become a “kid in a candy store. The staff indulges me to explore the incredible selection of tiles, unmatched in my 25 years working as an architect in the Baltimore area.
On my current project I’m working with Philip Smith, who has been wonderful. He’s been professional and thorough in our discussions of project details. We settled on Pratt and Lambert custom tiles, and they’ve just been installed, waiting for grout. The result has exceeded my expectations. Philip and I are excited to see how the other finishes come together, enhancing the beauty of the tiles.
I can’t express enough how happy I’ve been to work with everyone at the showroom, especially Philip, on this project. He has been an incredibly valuable partner.

Staff was friendly but the overall experience wasn't great. It was hard to shop the space. I would bring a client here again unless they needed something very specific. Even then I think I'd just drop and email and see if they could find it. They have beautiful things but it's very difficult to sort through and becomes overwhelming for most people

I had a great experience at Acrhitessa in Baltimore with Philip. We needed tile for a bathroom shower right away and Philip was extremely helpful in coming up with a design using in stock tile options. We were able to pick up the tile quickly at the nearby warehouse.

Phil was extremely helpful with our overall design decisions and tile selections. He also went above and beyond to help find alternative solutions to fit within our budget that didn’t compromise on the look! Great, high quality selections and client service.

We had high hopes working with Phil. He was initially very attentive and extremely helpful. We had a plan in mind and have been working on a deadline. At this point, we've given up on Architessa and started looking for other solutions. No amount of savings, better product or otherwise could entice us to purchase through Architessa at this point. We've been waiting nearly a month for samples. No updates from them except when we reached out. We had been told a quote would be done on a certain day; it was not. A couple days later after some nagging, we got a quote that was fair but still no samples. Architessa is the place to go if you'd like tile that's widely available at other shops and would like to do extra work in the form of badgering your salesperson and trying to figure it out on your own while they do who knows what. Mind you, they're not even open 40 hours per week and not at all on weekends, so don't expect a company that values the average person.

Tara and the Baltimore crew were awesome! She really helped me design and select the tile needed for my new bathroom. I love how the tile looks.

Working at different A&D firms over several years, Architectural Ceramics has always been my top go-to-source for a wide range of commercial tile products. Whenever there is a need for assistance with tile specifications and/or tile selections for meeting budget pricing/lead time, I can always count on Kersi and AC customer service team for their timely response and excellent knowledge and recommendations of products. With their expertise and attentive guidance, it has always been positive experience in working with them on every project. In addition to quick turn-around sampling and extensive inventory of tiles, their showroom is a beautiful and invaluable resource center. I would highly recommend AC for your tile source!

Love, Love, Love, Architectural Ceramics!!! They have an amazing selection, their showroom is beautiful and the staff couldn't be better. Kersi and Christy are an invaluable resource, always ready to assist with my tile specification needs, both personally and for clients.
They have an excellent knowledge of their products and can readily assist with recommendations for any budget, lead time or installation type.
Kersi goes out of his way to know our company and the type of work we do and as a result is able to steer us towards products that work best for our needs.
I would not hesitate to recommend them!
