I had a small project. They calculated how much sand and rock I'd need to complete it there on the spot and filled my order. They were relatively fast in fulfilling my order - I waited about 15 minutes. Friendly, helpful staff.
My husband ever I were sent to this location by our contractor to select pavers for an upcoming project. We were sent over a block over to have a closer looking at their inventory. When we got there no one was inside, so my husband asked the gentleman working the forklift a few questions. He kindly stopped what he was doing walked us around, pointed out the differences in material, and grabbed material magazines for us from inside. As we were leaving he another woman arrived and he again stopped to assist her in the same way. His name was Tim.... He was very helpful and embodied great customer service!

The employees were pleasant and helpful.
Decent pricing, although you must make sure to get Correct pricing.

Horrible experience. Spent about $5,000 with this company and ordered almost everything OVER THE PHONE. (CMU, rebar, gravel, brick-lock and sand). Not once did they mention that they don't take returns. I'm simply homeowner working on a DYI-project and ordered a little more supplies than I needed just to be sure. Not only were they rude by ask me to "read my receipt" I received AFTER the PHONE order was placed AND after materials were delivered but I'm also still fighting to get my $435 pallet deposit from 29 pallets I returned as far back as 5/8/2021. Accounting dept. never calls me back while the sales rep. keeps making excuses about accounting being overwhelmed. About to file a BBB complaint and MD atty. Gen. Cons. Prot. Div. BTW. This is the Gaithersburg location. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER!

In March 2020, I purchased over $18,000 worth of stone wall and paver materials to build a patio at my home in Mitchellville MD. The materials are great but the customer service is poor. I had 3 pallets of unopened sonoran pavers left and the company refused to accept them and issue a refund. There are a number of places that provide high quality material similar to Ernest Maier so, in the future I will purchase from one of those companies that know how to build lasting relationships

Customer service was IMPECCABLE! The lady who checked me out was knowledgable and great customer service, based on that this would have been a 10 star! The only negative was it was VERY confusing finding the entrance, then, once you pay, I had to pick it up one block over and basically wondered around like a lost soul until a truck driving by pointed at where I should go. They definitely need better signs, or have the customer stay put and bring the product to you. Hours not very great.

$$ they have all the licenses and are bonded & insured!
They've been there at this location since I was a kid
And that's 55 years.
I'm sure they were around since before me.
This company is large ,that does Large scale work,any size really.
This are the professionals folks.
they cut their own slate, and house paletted Brick and pour cement.
They have several lots just for that storage,They make their own Cinder blocks for God sakes

Very helpful staff.
I need a pallet of brick to repair a deck but once I got there I realized that they had a few different shades and sizes. I showed JWillians some pictures I had in my phone and he kindly walked with me tho the lot and suggested one specific pallet of brick.
Went inside to pay for it and by the time I came back out they had the pallet of brick wrapped and ready to be loaded on my truck

Worst mason supply I have dealt with in years. You can tell the staff loves their jobs by the way they will lie to your face. All and all, just a very unpleasant place to go and I will never shop, or do business with this company again.
I look forward to a legal battle soon in regards to a 1000 dollar tool I purchased, used 3 times before it broke, was told I could return it, drove all the way to this wonderful location of a store at 7 am on a Saturday, and was told that I couldn't return it. Then the manager on duty tells me "he's done with this conversation." You think I was happy?
