Dave and his crew at Columbia Concrete are absolutely amazing! My wife and I have been thinking for a long time about a new driveway. Our old driveway was cracked and was starting to sink in certain places.
In the beginning of my research, I contacted another company and was really displeased with the lack of professionalism and attentiveness of the other contractor. After doing more research, I read and heard a lot of great things about Columbia Concrete. The initial conversation I had with Dave was great! He was able to stop by our house, give measurements, offer advice, and provided an estimate that seemed reasonable. He made some excellent suggestions on things we didn’t consider previously on how our driveway could be much better. I ran his price by a good friend of mine who is in construction, who said Dave’s price was great and also liked Dave’s ideas of what our driveway should be.
Within a few days, his crew came and took up our old driveway. Two days later, they poured the new driveway and enhanced it so it is a better layout than the original. We are extremely pleased with Columbia Concrete and highly recommend them! Dave is really cool and is the absolute best. We plan on using them in the winter for some stonework we want to have done with our fireplace.
Gets the job done right. I’ve used Columbia Concrete at two of my houses several years apart. Both experiences were all I could have asked for: straight forward consultation; agreement on design & timing; and quality execution.

I originally gave Dave and his company 5 stars and a positive review but this was only because Dave told me he'd give me a good price if I did. That didn't bother me much but Dave was incredibly pushy about getting the review posted asap. I have numerous aggravated texts from him telling me to post my review. The texts from Dave were back-to-back with no time to respond in between. I then asked Dave for his company's tax ID so I could write off the work he did as a business expense and he told me he'd send it as soon as he received payment and a review. After he received both I asked him for his company's tax id again and he said I was pushy for asking him for the tax ID although it had been 4 days since he received my payment. He still hasn't sent the tax ID and is ignoring me altogether now. He's obviously trying to not pay taxes on the money I paid him. I highly DO NOT recommend Dave or Columbia Concrete. I had a terrible experience with Dave. I fix and flip properties for a living and Dave lost a life-long, multiple-job client because of his poor attitude

I was in a bind to get a concrete patio put in within a few days at a house I was flipping. We already had a photographer scheduled to get pics for the listing but we made a last minute decision to get a patio installed and we only had a few days to do it. Dave had one of his guys there within 24 hours to give me an estimate. Their estimate was more than fair. Needless to say I hired them and they did great work. Thanks to Dave and the fast but quality work of his team we were able to include the concrete patio in the listing pictures. I highly recommend Columbia Concrete

Columbia Concrete and Stoneworks LLC exceeded my expectations with their impeccable work on my patio extension. The quality of craftsmanship is truly outstanding, reflecting their dedication to excellence. Not only did they seamlessly execute the project, but the pricing was also reasonable, offering great value for the exceptional work delivered.
What stood out the most was their excellent communication throughout the process. David Bell, the owner, was incredibly responsive and patient, addressing all my questions and accommodating my specific desires. This level of attentiveness made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
A particularly commendable aspect was their attention to detail, including the careful relocation of azalea bushes planted on the patio. This thoughtful gesture showcased their commitment to preserving and enhancing the overall aesthetic of the outdoor space.

I highly recommend Columbia Concrete. We had a large aging wooden deck in our sloped backyard, which was rotting and required lots maintenance. The solution was to replace the deck with a tiled concrete patio that requires mininmal maintenance. We interviewed 3 potential contractors and ultimately selected Columbia Concrete. Dave Bell explained in detail what is requred to meet our needs. He emphasized the importance of a structurally sound retaining wall. We benefited from his many years of experience - for example, I originally selected a travertine stone as wall caps, but Dave told me that travertine is not suitable as it can deteriorate over time. Instead he recommended bluestone for seat wall caps. Dave's crew is hardworking, professional and courteous. In the end, we feel that we now have a beautiful, sturdy patio that will last for years. We are glad we made a right choice in selecting Columbia Concrete.

I am extremely satisfied with the job Dave and his team did replacing my driveway, front walkway, and additional walkways around the house! He was very professional and responsive, and I really appreciate how straightforward he was with me regarding the project details, recommendations, price estimates, and timeline.
The price he quoted was very reasonable, and he was willing to work with me to ensure I got the end result I wanted within my budget. It took a little over a month from the time we locked down the project requirements to when the work started, but it was well worth the wait. Communication with his team was awesome leading up to the work day, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and they were super efficient, completing the work in just under a week. I HIGHLY recommend Dave and his crew, and will definitely be calling them for any future concrete projects I have down the road.

My home has a second story deck that we wanted to put a hot tub underneath but didn’t know where to start. Dave and his team designed a wonderful space for us by excavating under the deck, building several beautiful stone retaining walls, and pouring an exposed aggregate patio. Dave really helped us figure out what would work in our space and look best. All of the members of the team were meticulous and professional, as well as very respectful of our home and our space. We are thrilled with how it turned out.

I received an estimate from Dave (owner of Columbia Concrete) for both a 12 x 20 basement walkout patio (exposed Aggregate concrete) and an estimate to extend my roof downspout/ sump pump pipes further out into my yard because of severe water pooling in this area. I got three estimates and eventually decided to move forward with Columbia Concrete. Overall, his prices were reasonable considering the high quality of work he and his crew performs. Based upon other reviews and just speaking with Dave in person, I could tell that he was trustworthy, honest, professional, and reliable- I felt very comfortable that he was going to do a good job and get it done in a timely fashion. Once I agreed to move forward, I had to wait a month for him to schedule these projects because he had other projects ahead of me. He and his crew recently finished both projects in less than a week. The work on both building the patio and extending out the drainage further down my lawn came out perfect and were of high quality- the patio looks excellent, and I no longer have water pooling in that area anymore. His crew was also respectful of my lawn and didn't tear up my lawn during the whole job process. Waiting a month for Dave and his crew to do the work was definitely worth the wait, and I'm very happy with the final results. I highly recommend him and his crew!
