From start to finish, our experience with the moving company was nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL! They arrived promptly as scheduled, wasting no time in efficiently loading and unloading our belongings. Not a single item was damaged during the process, and their attention to detail was truly remarkable. What's more, their services were incredibly affordable, offering exceptional value for the quality of service provided. Every aspect of our move was handled with care and professionalism, leaving us impressed and grateful. We cannot recommend this moving company highly enough for their outstanding service and dedication to customer satisfaction.
We moved on July 5th when the temperature was in the upper 90's and since this was our first experience with Nation Capital Movers, we were a little concerned that hiring the cheapest company would come back to haunt us, but we clearly made a great choice.
We were told our moving crew would show up at our old house between 8-9am and by 8:15, the crew of 4 was there. Chris was the leader of the crew and he is a very professional, positive, and hard working guy, and his team were equally as hard working. As the temps soared, the guys moved the goods and furniture fom a large house (5,500sf) out and into our new home. These guys barely took a break, only stopping to eat a sandwich, drink some water and then they got right back to work.
They wrapped every piece of furniture with great care, carried loose items like rakes, shovels, and other lawn equipment, even really heavy stuff like our large treadmill, snow blower, and some of our larger pieces of furniture. This crew never slowed down, never heard so much as a groan out of them and they really worked well as a team with Chris doing a great job keeping things on track. They remembered which furniture belonged in which room even when I didn't, so they were basically on auto pilot, getting the job done. They worked really hard, finishing up around 5 pm after loading and unloading two truckloads of household items.
I'd just like to thank Chris and his crew, they did a fantastic job.

Kris, Peter, Martin, and the entire crew were amazing. The price was very affordable compared to other companies. Communication was excellent. The crew took great care of our belongings from packing out to delivery. A 15K lb out of state move went seamlessly. Thank you! Would highly recommend!

I first came to appreciate NCM when I called to secure a quote for our move, and I spoke with Martin. He immediately struck me as a good listener who also cared about our situation. Ours was a smaller move, as we had previously downsized when I had to retire a bit earlier due to health reasons. Martin proceeded to take an inventory over the phone, and shortly after I received their offer by email. (We were doing the packing ourselves.)
The day of the move, the 3 men crew arrived on time. After surveying our furniture and such, they immediately began to wrap each item with protective materials and lots of tape to keep it all in place, and began to carry it out to their truck. Same with our boxes. We were moving locally, so after the very short drive, they began to carefully unload our things and move them into their designated rooms.
They were experienced and highly professional, and worked well together as a team. I've done my share of moves in the past 50 years as an adult. I've been moved by professional in-house movers, and have enjoyed doing it myself with the help of one or two friends. This was one of the most efficient and pleasant moves yet. I highly recommend them for your needs.

I hired this company last year to move my furniture and not only was I overcharged, but they broke multiple pieces of furniture that I have to replace out of pocket. Be aware that although they might charge you a lower than the competition, depending on the team you get, they will rush to complete the job with absolute disregard for your furniture.
The customer service was great and so was the initial person who handled the logistics. However, the team that showed up was completely unprofessional. They were constantly cursing in a different language around my kids, and assumed that I couldn’t understand. They were completely inappropriate and ruined multiple pieces of my furniture.

I was moving out of State, from an apartment to a single family home but only 2 1/2 hours away. I interviewed a number of moving companies and Nation Capital Movers had the most competitive pricing, ease of use and variable availability. The team arrived on time and had my apartment packed quickly and expertly. (Even with my 3rd floor walk-up!) Same day delivery and set-up went very smoothly. The team took special care with hardwood floors, a couple of very sentimental items and loaded in items beautifully. Even with a small mishap, the Manager was gracious and professional and provided a speedy remedy. Highly recommend Nation Capital Movers!

This was by far the BEST and fastest move I have ever had! I can’t even describe how happy and excited I am that NONE of my things got damaged and everything went Absolutely great, from packing to unpacking!!! These guys came, were super professional, very nice, asked me about every box and labeled them, and packed the entire apartment in 2 hours!!!! Please do yourself a favor and don’t Even consider other companies! I have attached pictures so you guys can see how amazing everything was packed and with care! Absolutely the best moving experience I’ve had!! Good job guys! Thank you Ronny and Chris, I will make sure that all of my friends hear about your company!
