We have used James A Wheat & Sons for servicing, replacement of our HVAC system and maintenance for a couple of years now, most recently working with Josh. Consistent excellent experience from the front office to techs to management. Friendly, responsive, knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Quickly diagnosed a bad capacitor. Very cordial. No problems with the work performed. Unfortunately after the fact found out that what they charged me for a capacitor replacement was 2-3 times what any online forums said would be a fair price. I understand markets vary but I didn’t see a single price online approaching what I paid, and it feels exorbitant. I didn’t push back because this week has a lot going on and I didn’t have the mental energy but it doesn’t feel good to have been thoroughly ripped off on price, and I did agree to it when presented to me. I will not be using Wheat & Sons in the future and won’t recommend anyone else to do so either, due to outrageous pricing.

Very happy with heat pump they installed in April 2024. Their quote was lowest of 5 comparable companies. Removed gas furnace / AC and put in a new Carrier heat pump. The electrician and installer were both excellent. Job done well in two days.

I couldn’t recommend James A Wheat & Sons enough! I called another (not to be named) company to repair our kitchen faucet. They didn’t show for appointments on two separate days. I called James A Wheat and had a technician at my house in under an hour. Thomas (the technician) was professional and knowledgeable. He was fantastic! If Thomas is representative of all the company’s technicians you couldn’t be in better hands.

My AC was not blowing cold air, and I called Jane's A. Wheat & Sons since the company will service my HVAC at a later date. Darlene suggested it may be a refrigerant issue, but to wait for the technician to assess. I was grateful to have received an appointment on a Sat morning. Ricardo and his colleague inspected both the HVAC and the outside AC unit. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful. He answered my questions. I would recommend this company!

They sent someone out very quickly to give an estimate for a new system. The gentleman that came out didn't know what he was talking about (he had to facetime someone else to confirm that what I was telling him about my system was correct )which didn't make me feel very confident about their ability to do the job correctly. He promised I would receive an estimate in writing the next day. I didn't hear anything from them for 4 days. When I did receive their estimate, it was was almost double the other estimates I received for an equivalent system. I went with another company.

Isak was a great technician and very professional. From the moment we met, he came into our home and when we left, it was a great experience. Isak came prepared with shoe covers and all supplies needed for the maintenance appointment. I really appreciated Isak’s transparency on pricing and explanations on how our Air coil unit system works in our home. We will be using James A. Wheat & Sons as needed in the future. Wonderful experience. Representative was prompt and professional. He is very knowledgeable and worked me through as he performed his duties. I was glad I called. This experience with the company would not be complete without mentioning the wonderful experience I had with rep Ben Young who worked with me confidently through the process of securing the agreement and rep John White Jr who intelligently diagnosed the problems with my former system. This is truly a great team work. Kudos to you all.

I was beside myself when all the water in my house stopped running! Because of the nature of my job, I needed a great quality plumber as soon as possible! What a daunting task! But I called James A. Wheat and was assured someone would come within hours! Charles arrived early, and was confident and friendly. He quickly diagnosed the issue and got down to work. Before I knew it, he completed the work and made it look easy! I didn't have time to price with different companies how much they would charge under the same circumstances, so can't speak to accuracy of the estimate. But I just remember the utter relief of getting back my water and seeing that the job was well done! Thanks again Charles and James A. Wheat and Son's for a stellar experience!
