Customer service people are very personable and Ryan seems to be a very knowledgeable electrician, however their administrative processes seem to need some improvement. My electrician forgot about my appointment the day he was scheduled to look around for the estimate. After 3 phone calls, 2 broken promises to send the estimate the next day and 4 weeks of waiting, I have yet to receive my estimate.

They do not full-fill scheduled scopes.....phones calls and emails are not repsonded to. They are defensive in their reasons for not conducting stated scopes. If you are the customer good luck in getting results you paid for! Even when you paid for the service in advance.......

They are probably great electricians, and many of my friends have said as much. However I called them on 4 December, and based on their availability we decided to schedule both my estimate and installation for residential work at the same time, two weeks apart (7 and 21 December). When I called on 18 December to confirm the estimate and schedule, they told me I was scheduled for the 26th and they didn't know what I was talking about for the 21st but said they would see what they could do. I called them back 20 minutes later when I distinctly remember the 4 December conversation, and at that point (to their credit) they admitted they did in fact screw up the schedule and changed my appointment without telling me. This had a cascade effect on other work from a different trade. But they refused to fix it, and insisted there was nothing they could do. So I told them they permanently lost my business. There are too many electricians in this area have to put up with poor front-office work (and the estimate was REALLY high for what I wanted done), so I'm going with someone else.

Needed a breaker for the new arc fault and GFCI. They knew that I had the old style and made sure I knew what I was getting before buying it. That's customer service. I won't go anywhere else as they have pricing the same and they made sure it was like for like.

With each project I engage in, Colonial distinguishes itself in its work above all other contractors in value, responsiveness, and quality. They do the work as if they lived in the house, both in design/execution and post-project cleanliness. If they are competitive in their bid, and they usually are, don't hesitate to choose them.

OMG! It was awesome. Kevin with Colonial Electric, called me to say he was going to be delayed due to accident on Rt. 97. Most trades people I have dealt with have been horrible and don't keep their appointments or inform customer of delay or they just don't show up. Kevin was Outstanding, explained the why and fixed the problem. He was professional, courteous, good communicator and was friendly. What a Breath of fresh air. To be valued as a customer. I am a Mortgage Loan Officer and recommend Colonial Electric to all of them.

Can't say enough about how helpful Colonial Electric has been. We started up a small business in Annapolis and had to work with multiple contractors during the process. We used another electrical contractor at first and didn't have a good experience due to shady tactics and high prices. After finding Colonial Electric, we'll never use another electrician. They provide great service at an affordable rate. Very professional workers and staff. We've even used them for home electrical upgrades at our home with installing a new stove recently. I highly recommend Colonial Electric for commercial and home electrical work.

Just purchased a new home & needed the electrical outlets & switches updated, Colonial came through & took care of everything again. I appreciate there quick & professional service. Old post: I have been using Colonial Electric for over 15 years now.
