We had an antique family heirloom in an oval frame. The frame had deteriorated over the years and efforts to have it repaired were unsuccessful. Replacing it with a new frame also proved challenging until we brought the piece to St. Michaels Fine Woodworking. They were extremely helpful and recreated a beautiful oval oak frame that was more beautiful than the original. The new frame was delivered within the time frame promised and the cost was reasonable. We couldn’t be happier with the result and the staff was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely use them again!
We attempted a DIY refresh of the galley kitchen in our weekender townhome. One of the goals was to save the original cabinets. After installing the flooring, granite countertops, and tile backsplash, and painting the walls, we realized the colors weren't coordinated. The kitchen didn't look right. The original cabinet finish matched nothing we had purchased and installed from Costco, Lowe's, and Amazon. Our desire to do it all ourselves, and lack of a sense of color, left us no choice but to refinish (or replace - not an option) the cabinets.
We watched a u-tube video of Bob Vila refinishing his kitchen cabinets, and knew the work was a step to far for us, plus, we still didn't know what color to paint the cabinets in order to bring the whole effort together. Visiting a paint store, and getting color samples left us uneasy.
We stopped into "St. Michaels Fine Wood Working and Cabinetry" to inquire if they knew someone to take on the refinishing job. They said they had the expertise, and a lot of experience. Botton Line: they did!
The next weekend they (John) templated the kitchen cabinets, and gave us a reasonable quote. The following weekend they (Suzanne) visited to talk possible colors with us. We left the shade to her. The following weekend, the job was done - we did not even empty the cabinets. The doors had been removed to a paint booth, and returned, and the cabinet structure had been hand painted. The kitchen looked fabulous - the color was perfect, and the workmanship was excellent.
We would use "St Michaels Fine Woodworking and Cabinetry" again, and highly recommend them.

We engaged St. Michaels Fine Woodworking to design and install a new property entrance sign. Their design team came up with a beautiful design for a hand painted sign, communicated with us every step of the way, and handled the final installation. The designers listened well, and the sign is exactly what we wanted! We couldn't be more pleased and we would not hesitate to engage them for any future projects of any scope.

I had been looking for a real nice cutting board with a large liquid well. I saw that they did custom work and discussed what I was looking for. They made a beautiful cherry cutting board. It is so lovely that I have ordered 3 more for family Christmas presents. John was very helpful. It is so nice to work with a company that will design exactly what you want!

We wanted something engraved for our 10year anniversary, we stopped into St. Michaels Fine Woodworking and they really took the time to understand & design a memorable wood plaque for us.
We opted for a dragonfly on it, our names and date we were married.
We will treasure this piece as we remember the care they took to make it and the quaint beautiful area we spent our anniversary.
Brandi was so personable & responded quickly to every question. She’s the best!
We don’t live in the area so they shipped us the wood plaque when it was complete. The turn around time was quick.
