I am very displeased with the quoting process. In August of 2022, I started the quoting process for a duplex with Hammond. I gave them $500 as a deposit. Fast forward to July 2023 and I still do not have a completed quote. When I initiated this process and gave them $500, I was told it would take 4-8 weeks for a complete quote and floorplans. Clearly that did not happen, as it's almost a year later and I don't have a completed quote that I can give to my bank for the loan process. I have continued to follow up and go months without a reply. I guess they will keep my $500 and I will have to take my business elsewhere. It's also very disappointing because when I started this process, interest rates were 5.5%, and now they are 8% or so. That is an extra $400+/month on a mortgage! Meaning, over the life of a 30 year loan, Hammond Lumber has cost me $144,000. That is a high cost of attempting to do business with one company.

Very disappointed over getting delivery of one piece of wood several phone calls later, they delivered to the wrong address, I had to wait 3 days as it was, I've had to make five phone calls and still haven't been credited to my card., they're so freaking cheap they can't wait to pick up their cracked junk piece of wood , I still haven't been credited all over $15. For all this trouble anyone else would have just dropped off the knew piece of wood and not even worried about the junk. I mean to put a customer through this much trouble over $15 ?? It's cost me over $15 in my time and phone calls, some credit, what a joke.

I've been buying materials here for 30 years. My Dad before that and I remember being so excited to get in his truck to get thing's there! Great place! Awesome people ? Worked with Chelsea from auburn in our new build kitchen design. Very knowledgeable and problem solved through our wants vs needs vs costs. Quick response through email and voicemail. Chelsea was patient and professional even when we were stressed. Finished kitchen is outstanding! Thanks!

Terrible customer service. I tried to order replacement window parts through Hammond to support a local business. Over two months later I've heard nothing. I had to drive to the store four to get answers after five attempts by phone and I could not BUY a return call on the status or ETA. Told each time there are delays due to shipping or covid concerns. No one cared about trying to get it resolved. I finally gave up and asked for my money back. I then went direct to the manufacturer's website (Anderson Windows) and I received the parts in less than ten days. I don't write reviews like this, but I cannot believe how indifferent this outfit was to trying to get me what I'd already paid them for. Once the sale was made, the important work of actually providing the parts I'd ordered simply didn't seem to matter.

I expected better quality for the price. I bought some 2x6x16pt and they were cracked down the middle and fairly warped and bent. I also got some 5/4 pt decking and got lots of outside pieces with bark. This has never happened before. Always great quality until this delivery.
