I have a small off grid cabin in Maine that I have been growing over the last couple of years. My most recent solar upgrade I realized that I didn’t have some of the parts that I needed. Rather than shopping online, I figured I would reach out to a local installer to see if anyone in my neck of the woods could help out. I got a hold of Shawn @ Chickadee and he was able to take care of all of my needs in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. It was nice to be able to chat with him because I can tell that he has a true passion for his work and doing it well. I’m glad we have businesses like his in the area.
Chickadee Solar was fantastic to work with at every step. They listened to me and were flexible when I wanted to go with different panels. I appreciated that they weren't trying to just sell me system and priced a few designs. Ultimately I chose then over a bigger, well-known firm because if their service. And they delivered on schedule and at the contract price. Since the install the follow-up has been great. Shawn has patiently answered all my questions and they handled everything with CMP (except what I had to sign). I highly recommend Shawn's team at Chickadee Solar.

We reached out to Chickadee to help us with a botched install when the system failed last Fall. While they weren’t able to fix our system due to liability concerns, they did diagnose the problem for us and get us on the track to getting it resolved. Very professional and knowledgeable. Wish we had gone with them from the start.

From the moment I met Shawn I knew I was going to use him for my solar needs. He's very personable and professional. His knowledge of solar and what you'll need to cover your electricity bill is unsurpassed. I had several estimates done by other companies and he was the least expensive and quicker to get us on the books. He and his crew were great!! They installed 16 490 watt panels in one day on our new 28 x 28 garage and it looks amazing. You can't even see the support brackets and no chance of ice dams. We are producing more than we need at the moment and that's with a salt water hot tub running. Room for a heat pump to be installed which is exactly what Shawn predicted. We can't be happier with Shawn and his crew. He follows up after the install to make sure everything is working properly and to make sure you are satisfied. He even looks at our panels remotely to make sure it's working properly. Highly recommend. 5 stars
