I’ve lived in the same place for over a decade and never used to lose power unless we had a bad storm. But over the past few years, we lose power ALL THE TIME for seemingly no reason. The weather is gorgeous and I currently have no power! Simultaneously, these POS have dramatically increased what they’re charging us, REPEATEDLY through the year…it’s criminal. The ONLY time you could speak to a real person was when Pine Tree power was on the ballot…and that’s the only time they’ve been “transparent”.

This joke of a company can't even keep the power on when the wind blows. Worst power company out of the 15 states I've lived in, and most expensive, 400$ this month 8/1/2024....mainers, youre getting screwed royally, no lube. What are you going to do ......let more somalis in? ?

Awful company, and regrettably, they hold a monopolistic grip in many regions, leaving CMP as the only viable option, essentially compelling you to choose them. Attempting to resolve anything via phone is futile; expect to receive a standard response consistently. To them, you're merely another statistic, subjected to some of the poorest customer service imaginable. Granted, when the power is functioning, it seems satisfactory, but the moment you require assistance or encounter a problem, their support is terrible.

CMP communications is very poor. During this past spring storm , our ETR has changed 3x and the call center states they do not directly communicate with ppl in the field. This needs to change. There should be direct communication with the ppl in the field and the call center. This , in return , would lead to an informed call center and customers will be better informed as well. Please address CMP and resolve, perhaps establish a person or persons to report to the call center several times a day during a catastrophic storm.

Power out. We have put in outage report online. No one at CMP answers the phone. We're just sitting here in a snow storm with no power, no HEAT, and those CMP SOBs dont care. I am done. If anyone reading this works for CMP you should feel badly and be ashamed of your company. My children are sleeping in their winter coats!
