We called about a leak yesterday and they came to have a look same day, then had me on the books to pull out and seal up my leaky skylight the next day. Everything was done and cleaned up before 4pm. They couldn’t find shingles to exact match our color but I was ok with that as we are going to replace the whole roof next. Very professional and clean work. We will be back! I couldn’t leave a second review so here is part 2 to this review! We had Shakers back again to replace the entire roof and they did a fantastic job. Phil worked until dark a couple days just getting it DONE. Very happy with how the roof looks, thank you so much it’s such a relief to have a solid new roof.

I hired them to side a 2 story garage. In less than 6 months I had several pieces fall off. Instead of removing my minisplit air conditioners they sided around them which let rain water behind the siding and rotting the wood behind it! They didn't leave me with a single extra piece! The owner told me several times that I had a $500 rebate that he not only lied several times that he was sending it but also lied and said he sent it then never answered my calls or responded back! So the quality or work is not good and the owner is a liar!

The roof replacement experience with Dan Shaker was nothing short of excellent and refreshing. I do not live in Maine and he worked with me sight unseen and trusted me, just as I had to trust him. I was not disappointed....on the contrary. 1. He gave me an outstanding quote, one I could not say no to. 2. He did not require a down payment (no money up front). That required quite a leap of faith on his part, and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed - nor was he. 3. Because I live out of state now, we were able to work out the payment to go straight into his business account. No hassles. 4. Warranty for workmanship is lifetime and is transferable to new owners. 5. GAF life-time architectural shingles were installed. I picked the color and he did the rest. This is also transferable to new owners. The finished product is beautiful (although I have only seen the pictures), but tenants are very pleased and friends have driven by to tell me what a great job they did. There were some stray nails, but they immediately returned to take care of it and made sure it was pristine. I highly recommend Shaker Roofing and Siding. They were pleasant to work with and got the job done in the timeframe they promised and at the right price. Nowadays customer satisfaction and pricing is something we treasure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 8/29/2022. After submitting my initial raving review, I asked Dan Shaker for a final invoice showing my payment and his guarantee (warranty) that will be transferred to the new owners of the property per the Purchase Sales Agreement. Sadly, I was sent a very nasty text stating he had spent enough time on my roof, and he wasn't gong to spend another minute worrying about something that isn't necessary. This is disconcerting because if his only concern is the initial install, what happens when there is a problem afterwards and it doesn't get honored because there is no paperwork. So, although I was and am genuinely happy with the new roof, I hope the new owners will not have problems with it or him. This brought my rating down several notches.

Shakers did our log cabin roof. Out of the 3 quotes I received this is the only company that told me they would make sure our decking is in great condition before putting metal on over it AND their pricing was more competitive then those who wanted to cut corners. Many companies out there can do a roof but not everyone does it right like shakers. Not to mention the final result was beautiful and they cleaned up very well. I’m happy to give them my business and would refer others to them as well.

I called Shaker Roofing (Dan) on Wednesday morning- he was very professional and offered to come later that morning to do an estimate... his estimate was for several extras/upgrades and was $1,500 & $4,800 less than the other 2 estimates and he could start the job that Friday. He and his crew arrived as promised on Friday set up and got to work. He crew are some of the hardest workers I’ve seen. Played close attention to deal and did a great job! They worked on both Saturday and Sunday to complete the job. Once the job was completed the crew worked diligently to clean up and left the area as they found it. We’re extremely happy with the results! We highly recommend Shaker Roofing.
