Took an Epoxy Techniques class with Jose. It was amazing. Jose does a great job of explaining things and answering why he recommends certain techniques. I'm so happy with how my board came out. ☺️

I live a couple hours away from the South Portland store, so don't get in as often as I like. However, I had some time yesterday and really appreciated the staff taking time to answer questions and give suggestions on my pen turning experimentation. One was not afraid to say they don't have a lot of experience, but he stayed right there while a second associate answered questions, and then the first helped me find the things I needed. I always look forward to going there, because I know they have knowledgeable and helpful staff.

I am convinced the same people who work at the Apple Store and Trader Joe's also moonlight at Rockler in South Portland-- because they are some of the most friendly and helpful people you could imagine, and have an enthusiasm for their job that you just can't fake. Jose was a fantastic teacher for the handle turning class, and all the other employees that afternoon were equally as wonderful. They've earned my future business, and I think you should give them a chance to earn yours.

They helped me find exactly what I was looking for and the 2 sales associates that helped me were fantastic and knowledgeable. I discovered that they are one of the few places that still carry books/instruction manuals that have detailed instructions on and information about the various woodworking projects that people may want to learn. Online instruction is not the same as a good manual. I will definitely be going back when I have needs for future projects.
