Two years ago we decided to build a new home. We went to Authentic Kitchen Design because we had strong ideas of what we wanted but needed lots of help with the design. We worked with David and Tricia on the designs for our kitchen, three bathrooms, living room and family room book cases, a built-in Murphy bed with shelves and a mud room! During the entire process, David and Tricia were patient, attentive and very responsive — we definitely felt like their only goal was to create rooms that we would love. They offered great design ideas and paid attention to every detail. Whenever we emailed or called with a question or concern, we heard back from them quickly.
Our experience working with David and Tricia, was beyond exceptional. From the dedicated time and attention that they gave us during the planning and design phase, to the exceptional follow through during the install and after. We are incredibly proud of our home; it turned out to be a beautiful work of art and very functional!!
We want to extend a very special thank you to David and Tricia and the entire AKD staff for all of your hard work. You went “above and beyond.” Thank you!
Dave and his team were outstanding in guiding us through our kitchen remodeling! From the initial design consultation to the finished product, work was timely, exceptional, and done with attention to detail. The contractor team was very talented.

Excellent service from Authentic KItchen & Design! Trisha was our project manager during our kitchen remodel, and she was fantastic! Trisha is a true professional with strong attention to detail, excellent communicator, exceptional at follow-up communication, consistently met deadlines, coordinated deliveries and collaborated with our installer during the entire process. Our kitchen renovation went seamlessly and I am so pleased with the finished results! Additionally, the AKD staff (Judy, Dave, etc.) were always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about our project, which indicates to me the AKD works as a team! I would definitely recommend Authentic Kitchen & Design!

We had our laundry room updated. We absolutely love the end product. AKD was extremely helpful with the design and made suggestions that really improved the look. They were friendly, great communication and always followed up with any questions or concerns we had. The quality of the cabinets, trim, lighting, paint was outstanding. I would highly recommend AKD to anyone.

For any future cabinetry or kitchen needs I will return here. I had an unusual request of a very narrow base cabinet to fill a hole in my kitchen. Judy was extremely attentive to my needs and discussed every option with me. The quality of the product I received was very high.

We are so happy with the way our main floor project went and turned out with AKD. Our house is now our dream home. David and Trisha were fantastic in aiding with everything we needed. We highly recommend AKD for top notch quality work on your next major kitchen or bath renovation.

My husband and I had a large scale renovation planned which included a new kitchen footprint. All we knew was that we wanted an island and a pantry. It was hard for us to reimagine our space so we contracted Authentic Kitchen & Design to bring our ideas to life and give it a true vision. Judy's design was very thoughtful, functional and beautiful. She completely tailored the design to the unique needs our family was looking for. They provided excellent communication and updates with the project from the early brainstorming phase to its completion. It was a pleasure working with them and they made an overwhelming project run as smoothly as possible.

We had the best experience with the team at Authentic Kitchen & Design. Our kitchen was extremely outdated, closed off and oddly set up. We had minimal expectations with what could really be done within our budget but figured anything would be an improvement from what we had. After one meeting with Dave and Trisha, they sent over their design ideas and we were blown away. Any time I felt a little indecisive, they offered suggestions with visuals and made it so much easier to see the big picture. Each person that came into our house throughout the project was efficient, kind and courteous. We love our new beautiful, functional kitchen!

We were thinking about remodeling our kitchen and came upon the beautiful AKD showroom on M-59 and decided to stop in. Met designer Dave Nickerson who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Dave and his assistant, Trisha, helped us design our new kitchen and were ALWAYS available to speak to us and answer our questions. If they weren’t, they returned emails and calls ASAP. AKD’s parent company, MJ Whelan, installed our cabinets and couldn’t have been more prompt and professional. Any issues that came up were taken care of immediately and without question by AKD or Whelan and superintendent Chris Huber. Randy, the carpenter who did our install, was fantastic as were his assistants James and Joel. The quality of Randy’s work was top notch. And a shout out to our plumber Jim who was fantastic, as well as the counter guys from Lakeside Surfaces.
We love our new Kitchen and will use MJ Whelan for future projects! Thanks again Dave, Randy and Chris!!
