If you are older than your mid 20's and have no formal experience good luck joining. They'll pretty much just ignore you. Don't know how many guys I talked to that wanted to join but never heard anything back, only thing they had in common over mid twenties and no formal experience... Pay gets lower every contract. Add inflation to the old contract and apprentice pay is over 1$/hr lower and journeyman is over 2.50$/hr lower.. My grandpa, dad and uncle are all retired union Carpenters. Starting pay adjusted for inflation grandpa 31$/hr, dad 26$/hr, uncle 24$/hr. Starting pay is only 17.99$/hr. Not worth it to destroy your body. You can got make just as much or more at an indoor job were you don't destroy your body

I went with my Best friend to make her final arrangements for her party next month. The venue is beautiful and the food is Delicious. I was here for a wedding last year.

The venue was great, the ballroom was large but unfortunately the food was average. I was there for a luncheon buffet - menu consisted of normal buffet fare of tossed salad, bean salad, mashed red potatoes, roast beef with mushrooms, herb chicken, pasta with alfredo sauce and rolls. They also offered an appetizer table with fresh vegetables and meat balls. Everything else was good except the roast beef was not tender and the pasta with Alfredo sauce really did not have any parmesan taste - it was kind of blah. Also, I'm not sure if they were able to dim the lights instead of just turning them off on one side.
