Stay far away from this company. Seriously, They are a complete joke!
Once you put down your deposit your project will be put on the back burner for months and months. Then when they come out the work is terrible. The wood is twisted and full of knots/rot. Debris on the ground afterwards. No dumpster ever was dropped off on the job site. EVER. All trash was left behind by Gregory. I have photos of this. Phone calls, texts, emails go unanswered. When you finally get in contact with an office person you will get nothing but excuses as to what and why things aren’t progressing. The workmanship/quality of work done on my new garage build by Gregory was absolutely horrendous. I have dozens of pictures. It’s down right embarrassing how many times Gregory contracting had to come out to attempt to fix the issues. The siding was crooked and not fastened properly. The siding was replaced after a few months. The concrete around the service door was improperly cut and ended up breaking when Gregory cut it. The main anchors that hold the garage to the foundation all were broken upon installation and had to be completely cut out and replaced by Gregory in order to pass code/inspection. Again, I have photos.
Let’s see, the main large garage door Gregory had installed was a used unit (Was supposed to be new). Yes, they put on not only a used door (charged me new pricing) but the door also was dented/scratched, had over spray on it and 1/2 of it had to be replaced by Gregory.
All the flashing was cut incorrectly and again Gregory had to come out 3 times and replace it.
Also they promised they would insulate, poly and sheet rock my garage walls as a “we are sorry for all the inconveniences” and sadly Gregory went back on that promise. Again, I have proof of this offer to insulate/Sheetrock and poly offer.
Gregory wasn’t in any hurry to get my project completed on time and correctly but man let me tell you Gregory wants that final payment like right now or they will harass you on a daily basis. Gregory will have someone show up on your door step and call like crazy after 2-3 days of “completion”. Too bad Gregory didn’t put the same effort into getting my project done 9 months earlier as promised like they put into collecting the final payment. I could go on and on but I won’t.
Do your research and talk to others in the Chisago city area and you will hear same and similar stories as to what I’ve described.
Again, Stay away from Gregory contracting as they do horrible-horrible work and will completely waste your time and money. See attached photos.
Working with Gregory contracting was a great decision, the attention to detail, communication and high quality work truly showed. When Gregory came out they were upfront about the entire process and very timely which put me at ease. While working on my garage floor they kept me updated on events happening and made adjustments to the situation at hand adding more support than expected at no extra cost. The work they do is of high quality and I can not compliment their work enough. There was an issue that arose with some damage to my property during work on my garage before I was even able to consider the damage they had a plan to fix the damage and had implemented plan. I cannot recommend Gregory contacting and my contractor Paul Brandt enough they did great work, with great communication and they owned up to their mistakes and made a plan to fix them. Throughout this whole process I have felt confident in my choice of contractor, I will be contacting Paul Brandt for future projects. Good company, great contractor worth every penny.

I’ve had a disappointing experience with the management at Gregory Contracting. Communication was poor, with delays in responding to inquiries and a lack of transparency about project timelines. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of organization, leading to several preventable issues during the course of the project. Management seemed more focused on cutting corners than ensuring quality, which ultimately affected the final outcome. I expected a higher level of professionalism and customer service, but unfortunately, Gregory Contracting did not meet those expectations.

From first contact to construction to final invoice, Gregory Contracting was a pleasure to work with. We contracted them to work on the exterior of our home, replacing vinyl siding with Hardie Plank, rebuild a deck, and construct pergolas over two sliding doors. The price quoted was reasonable for the scope of work. Our project manager, Nate, was responsive and friendly, as were all who worked on our project. The pergolas were custom-designed and built by Gregory Contracting experts. They are a beautiful and unique feature added to our home. I will be recommending Gregory Contracting to friends and family and I will consult with them for future home improvement projects.

Gregory Contracting was excellent to work with from start to finish on my bathroom makeover.
From listening to my ideas, ordering products, keeping me updated on start dates and progress reports each day, the project went as smooth as possible.
I had an Onyx shower surround installed, shower door and shower system, new flooring, toilet, paint and trim work done. I am extremely happy with the final result.
The entire crew was friendly and a pleasure to work with. I will be considering Gregory Contracting for future home renovations.
