When I was actually in the market for some concrete work, St. Croix Concrete demonstrated the highest levels of integrity, honesty, quality, value, and workmanship within my experience utilizing their talents. I had known the owner for several years, but never had the need for a “concrete guy” until our family purchased a brand new home. He is a great friend, but I always said, “If I ever need a ‘concrete guy’ I’ll give you a call.” Once we were in our new home, our walk out patio door could have either had a deck or a poured concrete patio. I’ve had my run with decks and was done. I contacted Dustin who was over to my place that afternoon to discuss possibilities, take measurements, offer suggestions, etc. Once we made our decision I had the estimate in my hands within about an hour. When the work was scheduled to begin, Dustin and his crew arrived earlier than promised, and were hard at work prior to my having my morning coffee. It was like watching a choreographed dance, or something like that. Every member of his team had a job to do and they were completely focused on that, while working with everyone else on the team. The prep work was done and the pour would take place the next morning, first stop. That provided a real challenge; heavy rain was forecast for mid-morning. Using better than “free weather apps”, Mr. Dahlblom was able to determine that they could get the patio poured prior to the “first wave”, and they went to work. There were about 7-10 other crew members present than the previous day to ensure that everything went well. New pumper truck provided the mix while the crew laid it out. Just at the time it was all smooth, the call was made to “cover it up” ASAP. No sooner than it got covered did the sky open up and downpour for at least 50-60 minutes. But with the concrete in place, that allowed it time to cure enough, so that once the rain stopped after about 90 minutes, the crew returned to complete the final product; stamping, fine detailing, and border cutting. In the end, we were (and still are) totally blown away at how beautiful our poured concrete patio looks and truly complements our new home, some of which was based on the recommendation and suggestions of Dustin Dahlblom. There has not been one visitor to our patio that has not asked several questions, the main ones being a) who poured your patio, b) was it expensive, and c) what were they like to work with? I can say with a clear conscience that a and b were easy to answer, along with c, which is that they may not be the “cheapest” patio option, however you truly “get what you pay for” and Dustin stands by his and his crew’s work 110%.
