Kalifornia Pools installed our inground pool late fall 2020. They did an excellent job and we are very happy with the end product. Their price was fair and the install/construction was just about flawless. Any questions or concerns we had were quickly addressed and taken care of by Nick. Nick owns the business and understands his name is on the final product. Thank You Nick, it was a pleasure. Our only complaint was that summer ended too soon.
Scheduled a pool opening and he never showed up. Totally ignored voice mail, email, and even a direct phone call when I reached him and he said he would call me back in 30 minutes when he "got into the office." Dishonest and unprofessional.

We have worked with most of the pool companies in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area and we just love working with Nick from Kalifornia Pool. He always gives us top notch service and I love his friendly demeanor. Nick and his crews are very skilled and knowledgeable and really can build anything we design. Great group, can’t wait for the next pool build coming up with them!

I had large steps built inside my pool and a new liner installed. Turned out beautifully! Very professional and answered all my questions, and I had a lot of them! Highly recommend!

Poor communication and professionalism. Called for another pool opening in Minneapolis, MN and was told to email photos so they knew my pool type. Sent directly to email with no response.
Called and made an appointment for the following week and no one showed up. Staff gave me the owners number and told me it would be easier to go that route. Never received a call or email back from him.
Just a bad customer experience overall. Totally understand they may be busy, but a follow up would have been nice.

Kalifornia Pool's owner, Nick and his team took outstanding care of us! When covid hit every pool company in MN decided that they wanted to increase the price by 100%. Kalifornia Pools increased the price accordingly. I inherited a home that requires upkeep and a pool that needed more than upkeep. This company brought us back to life!!! I will forever be grateful.

FINAL UPDATE 11/01/22 - Continued working with NIck from K-Pool. Nick provided additional information and context around the issue. Was impressed with Nick's willingness to address the issues and make accommodations where necessary. I am retracting my negative comment regarding "do not use" as I feel more confident now in the provisions of service from this company. Updating the Star Rating based on the above.
UPDATE 11/01/22 - Nick the owner reached out and has been very helpful in addressing the issues. I am updating the rating to reflect this and will be posting again once it is all resolved.
Absolute worst service possible - stay far away.
Issues started immediately when on original closing date the closers would not remove the plastic stairs because of the two rocks that are in it to weigh it down. All other pool closing companies over the last 5 years have had no issue removing the stairs. Had to remove handrail from stairs and left in pool. Prior company we used for the last 4 years retired so went with K-Pools this time and totally regret it.
Purchased a closing and the job was shoddy and incomplete. Paid extra for tarp and waterbag option, and only a few bags were filled, many left empty, and those that had water in them were only half filled. The pump gauge was removed for some unknown reason, and opening left exposed. Skimmer baskets, ladders, plugs left all over the place.
Left messages and email to report the issues and no response at all. Stay away, very disorganized and the service is terrible.

Loved working with Nick and his team. Very professional. Quality work. Built in November. So, won't be completely ready until the spring, but they did such a great job and looking forward to finishing everything up with them!
