Tile roofs are just plain expensive to fix. The workers need to be top drawer. Don t settle for inexperience, use Garlock.
loudest crew i've ever heard. incredibly disturbing in a residential area. zero courtesy when moving through residential halls, constantly slamming doors and going back and forth up stairwells.

Not only did they help me navigate my insurance claim in what was a confusing situation, but the work was done beautifully and the crew was especially helpful to me when we had to deal with some surprise circumstances. Anytime I had a question during the process, my emails were answered fast. Kudos all around.

Garlock French very expertly helped me navigate the insurance game. David Hoch is fantastic at communicating with all players and was able to finally demonstrate that a full replacememt was the only way to go.Work was completed as promised and looks beautiful!

We have used Garlock French for routine maintenance on our tile roof for the past few years and they were recommended by the previous home owner (40+ years). We’ve been satisfied with the quality of work which has included spot tile replacement as well as felt replacement at the roof edge. I rated as three stars due to the delay in getting someone out for routine maintenance this year and need for some follow up calls to get updates on specific dates. A roof leak after heavy rains did bring more prompt service. During the repair we were informed that the tar paper under the tile was completely deteriated in that section and since the tile color on the house was no longer available we were probably looking at a new roof. When asked for a ballpark cost on the replacement we were given an informal estimate of around 150-200k. This seemed a bit high given online estimates are in the 40-60k range for tile for a 3000 sq ft house. I was also told to get back with more specifics on roofing materials to get a more accurate estimate, however, suppliers and options were not provided as a starting point. We are considering options for the roof replacement and will likely include Garlock French when we request a formal quote due to their reputation.

Had heating cables installed along roofline and in gutter/downspout. Work done with great attention to detail. This has been our experience with all work done by Garlock-French on our 120-year-old house.

After hail damage they were the only company that took time to look at my roof( called other roofers). Dave Houck was very responsible and helpful in this process; so we were able to start an insurance claim. We needed some carpentry work done before the roof was replaced, to repair some decorative trim.Their carpenter was very skillful and did an excellent job with the unique decorative trim on our older home.They worked with us on scheduling the roofing crew when it worked for our family's schedule . The roofing crew worked very hard and longer on one day due to the threat of rain. The process to get our insurance claim payment was so easy,once the work was done, thanks to what Garlock-French did on their end.

We had a great experience with Garlock-French. They worked tirelessly with our insurance company which resulted in a new roof and steel siding due to storm damage.
They were thoroughly professional and responsive throughout. The quality of the products, crews, and supervisors was excellent. And, they honored their contract ensuring that we just had to pay our deductible.
I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

I decided to contract with Garlock-French to replace the shingles on my brand new home in Lake Elmo that sustained light hail damage within a month after I moved in. Due to their extreme negligence, inexperience, and lack of care, my home sustained water damage in all four walls and ceiling on the first and second floor while they worked all day in the rain pulling off the entire top roof. They did not follow industry standards which is to work in sections and tarp off an open area if rain comes. I had water streaming through light fixtures and down walls, to which the foreman told me I just needed to let it dry out and they would come back later to touch up the paint. Needless to say, I called a water mitigation company to come out and respond to the situation. Now I have holes in my walls, trim removed, wet clothes in my closet, wet carpet, and industrial dehumidifiers and fans running everywhere that are tripping my circuit breaker. It’ll get better but it’s going to take a lot of work, time, and aggravation. Think twice before you hire Garlock-French!!!
