Crockett Engineering is professional and they do a great job. I’ve hired them for numerous jobs over many years and will continue to hire them. They have a knowledgeable staff with tons of experience in many different fields of expertise….creating new subdivisions, surveying, structural, private sewer, etc…they do it all and do it well.
Excellent group for professional services. Geotech, Civil, Structural have all been very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Crockett Engineering did a great job on my project. From initial design to the end of construction, the whole project went smoothly. Highly recommend.

They spent less than 6 hours evaluating a 6k square foot mixed-use building. They were hired but the City of Fulton to point out any structural issues then make recommendations for necessary repairs. It took 3 weeks to get back their report. There was three and a half written pages and the balance was of photos. The report mislabeled locations of damage; concluded the wrong cause of damage and most importantly concluded that the structure was beyond repair and would, therefore, require the complete demolition of approximately 2/3of the structure. Of course, I disagreed with their conclusions and requested further explanation of their reasoning.
I was told by one of the engineers that their church had looked into purchasing the old Fulton Ford building. However, though they did not purchase the old Fulton Ford building a construction company did purchase the building and upon securing the purchase, the construction company had invested $1,300,000 into the remodeling of the structure AND OUR BUILDING WOULD REQUIRE FAR MORE WORK TO GET IT UP TO "CODE" THAN THE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY HAD INVESTED INTO THEIR BUILDING SO I "WOULD NEVER GET MY MONEY BACK " and THAT is why he believed my building was beyond repair.
I, however, did not believe that our structure would require any $1.3 million dollar investment in order to get it to "code" and, furthermore, didn't think it was the decision for the engineering company to be making. If I wanted to invest $2 million into the rehabilitation of our structure, that would be our business an our decision to make. Frankly, what a construction company invested into their building had absolutely NOTHING to do with our building and it was NOT what you were hired to do.
The "opinion" of this engineering firm carried a great deal of weight with the City of Fulton and I was told that the only thing that would stop the COF with moving forward with the condemnation process was IF I were to hire another licensed engineering firm that would DISPROVE what Crockett had alleged in their report.
I hired Anderson Engineering Company to do the structural evaluation of our structure. Anderson Engineering Company did not do a 5-6 hour evaluation of our structure. Their examination took 3 weeks to do and their report was nearly 20 written pages in addition to the supporting photographs. However, on the very first day of evaluating the structure the AEC asked me,"What are those guys basing their conclusions on?" The Anderson Engineering Company went far above and beyond the Crockett Engineering Consultants. They were able to be more thorough, in part, because I had began to clear out all the debris that was left in the building by its previous owners. I also tore out walls and ceilings so the engineers could see past the debris and focus on the actual structure.
The "second opinion" provided by the AEC cost me an additional $7,000 to dissprove what Crockett's 5-6 hour and comparisons to an entirely different structure that had absolutely NOTHING to do with our structure.
I believe, wholeheartedly, that the Crockett Engineering team compromised their professional integrity to satisfy the request of the entity that hired them. I am fully aware of what a "fiduciary" responsibility is, but I also thought a State of Missouri licensed Structual Engineering company was required by law to provide an honest an impartial conclusion of their assessment of the structure they were hired to evaluate.
I was fully aware of the fact that I would need a State of Missouri licensed Structural Engineering firm and possibly also a State of Missouri licensed Arcitech to evaluate and make recommendations about the necessary repairs an improvements required to bring the structure up to "code" and into service. I also believed that either or both would give me their unbiased input when doing so.
Would I recommend Crockett for any Structural Engineering services? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
