AVOID AT ALL COST!
Contractor sat in our kitchen on 4/13/18 and proposed what is listed below. Initially we had a bigger deck area planned and contractor quoted $15,000. When we said that was way beyond what we wanted to spend, the contractor proposed what is listed below for the price of $10,000. There was absolutely NO indication on that evening of 4/13/18 that the contractor would come back on 5/26/18 and raise the price 40% to $14,000 for the same work that was agreed upon and down payment given. Now the contractor is saying that he "said" it would be more; but WHY would the contractor provide a contract and take a down payment for contractually stated work? We fully expected the contractor to perform to what we agreed to on the evening 4/13/18.
Below is what we signed on 4/13/18 and provided $500 down payment to be done:
"We hereby propose to furnish the materials and perform the labor necessary for the completion of
This is a bid to install a 15x15 deck around a pool with one set of steps.
We will install one set of steps off the kitchen door 5ft wide.
The decking will be Sandy Birch with Sandy Birch facia.
The railing will be white express rail.
And lattice around the deck.
specifications submitted for above work and completed in a substantial workmanlike manner for the sum of $10,000"

Spoke with this company over the phone and set a date for him to come out to bid a deck. This date was 3 days after the phone call. I took time off of work and he never shows up. Waste of time.

Ken(owner) and his crew were very professional.they managed their time well and got my timbertech composite deck put up in no time.another deck went above and beyond to build our deck.i highly recommend this company they know what they are doing!

I highly recommend Ken and the crew at Another Deck Company. My deck job was completed on Friday and I am extremely happy with the work they did. The crew was professional and worked hard — even on a Saturday and Sunday when rain prevented them to work during the week. They also pointed out an issue with rotted wood on the chimney they attached to which ensured I wouldn’t have other issues in the future. Plus they did a great job cleaning up afterwards.
The deck is rock-solid and gorgeous. I selected TimberTech decking materials and I’m already getting compliments from neighbors and my family.
I highly recommend Another Deck Co. to anyone looking for a quality deck job.
