These disgusting excuses of " hard workers" stole from my grandparents grandparents! Now he thinks hes ganna leave them with criminal charges for the excellent service ? they provide. Karma is a b!! And what goes around comes all the way back around. Remember its who you know and your ganna want to refund the money you charged my family for the propery you either accept accountability for purchasing or the property you destroyed. I have video footage of the sad begining which shows who is responsible for the removal, once yall hauled it it became your ! Mike and his crew are awesome!! They repaired my Rough Water Dock and then reinforced/upgraded it to withstand the beatings of the main channel. He is responsive, helpful and most importantly does quality work at a reasonable price!!!!

They made me prepay for over half of the job cost up front. Then did not build to my specifications as originally agreed upon and then abandoned the job after only doing partial work. I offered to pay more to redo things that were not to my specification and he still left the job. Several other dock builders that looked at the work said it was not good and they had to redo a good amount of it to make it right. This company is only good for minor repairs and nothing more if you can get them to finish the work. If you must use this guy, get everything in writing and dont pre-pay. Other legitimate dock companies dont make you pre-pay.

Read the Better Business Bureau complaints. Not licensed according to Ameren! Do Not Hire! He did not get any permits that Ameren requires. Asked for thousands upfront and then thousands in cash. Left work unfinished, unsafe & substandard.
Pictures are taken right “after” not before. disaster!
I now have my lawyer involved and our Missouri Attorney General who Mike has already lied to through mail.
Note: You can’t fire a contractor at the end of a job and withhold payment, hence the payments. But you are able to take your case to court to recapture payment if the work was left unfinished, unsafe and or substandard.
October I hired them. Months now and no return to finish. I was told by Mike Gennetten of 808 Dock that they were Licensed, which they’re not...and Insured as well as Ameren Certified Dock Builders and for $7500 I would get everything I needed to be Ameren approved except electrical. I agreed based on that information.
The work they started isn’t what we agreed on first of all and if I knew I would have to move the dock again because it’s too far over and also need an additional $7000 in work including a new concrete pad poured, new posts and stairs to the ramp/pad and to find someone to haul out my old H Pier and 20 foot steel ramp, I would never have agreed to hire them.
I wanted to find a way to get my existing dock between my property lines so that I could get approved by Ameren. Mike proposed, for $7500 that he was going to swing my dock and new ramp section, while staying on the already existing concrete pad, over so it would now angle to be between my property lines, install 2 new mud boxes with posts (which would allow me to in 6 months have no cables connected to my dock from the shoreline so I agreed to these), install a new 20 foot ramp section due to my current one being unsafe, bolt 2 new temporary cables to the rock bed near to the new ramp and haul out the old ramp and H pier, plus weld me a special box to hold my flag pole base. (This ended up being 3 bolts screwed to my dock then they lost the base into the water).
This angle idea was a huge oversight on Mike’s end as on the day of the move the 3 young guys he sent out and I, minus Mike who was not planning on coming I guess, soon saw that the move was not going to work due to the way it would now be angled on the shoreline and would leave my waverunner lift in 2-3 feet of water, ultimately making it unusable. The workers agreed it would not work. So we all called Mike. After an hour of waiting he arrived and had his team set the dock in a temporary place on the shoreline all while telling me he has people he will get ahold of to fix it all up for me. He told me he also had stairs for the now 16 feet of hill from the yard to the ramp and said he’d be back to correct and finish final cuts on all the posts, bolting the cables to the rock bed and hauling the old H pier and ramp out and helping me on stairs, which I understood as an agreement.
Mike was adamant that it was getting late and he had to leave to get to the bank so he left before his team had finished, therefore never seeing the final condition they left things in. There is currently no safe access to my dock, cables not bolted anywhere just unevenly attached nowhere near how we agreed, a new uneven H pier that is crooked and tilting with nothing preventing it from sliding out as the water level goes up and down and mud box poles that are more than 2 feet uneven not to mention the old junk H pier, cables and ramp setting there unusable and in the way on my shoreline. His reply to me after saying that I was displeased with his services and the new H pier was leaning, was a text from him saying “ok, it can lean”. I immediately called him - no answer or call back.
I have not received any receipt or warranty information on their work. I asked still no reply.
I have met others in contact with Mike and they have emailed me that they personally passed the message on to Mike but no response from Mike. I sent calls, voicemails and texts every week for months now with no reply.
