Five stars across the board!! I met with Steve Scott at the house he is was inspecting. He was very kind, very knowledgeable, and helped me understand what were the next steps after the inspection. This is my first time buying a house, but Steve was very helpful in explaining what needed to get done right away. Definitely recommend anyone to Steve Scott and the Mirowski Inspections crew! Miroski Inspections made the process of buying a home feel significantly less intimidating. Our inspector, Steve, was so insightful. He was incredibly attention detailed and thorough. He answered every question we had. He even went above and beyond the expectations of his job; he knew we are expecting our first child, so he went out of his way to provide us with safety tips that aren't even necessary for the inspection. This is what really put us at ease in our new house. He helped make it feel like a forever home. I will be forever grateful for this! I could not recommend them highly enough. If you are in the Springfield area and are in need of a house inspection, Mirowski Inspections are a no-brainer. I’d give them a score higher than 5 if I could.

I hired Steve Mirowski to inspect a home in March 2023. I paid for three home inspections. He told me that my roof was 10 years old. I arrived home in July and the roof started to leak. I interviewed 7 roofers and the last one explained to me that my roof was 20 years old and proved it. Also he pointed out that the nails popping out of the ceiling meant that the roof was leaking. I paid for three inspection reports and none of these pictures were in any of the reports from Steve Mirowski. He also did not suggest a panel upgrade which is what I needed. Instead he helped an unlicensed electrician to take advantage of me. He also stated that fogging mold in the crawl space was good enough to kill the mold and that it didn't matter if the vapor barrier was installed before the mold was treated. Also, he only looked over the items that needed to be fixed the second and third time around which meant that the electrician continued to jimmy rig the panel and there were still items that were not working/fixed.
Response to Steve 's comment: Steve... I didn't hire the electrician. You asked if he was licensed and I said I did not know because the seller wouldn't provide that information until the end of closing per my realtor. The oven wasn't even working by the way when I got home. You should have suggested a panel upgrade...period.
As for the re-inspection...you should have made sure everything was working on the panel yet again instead of just the items the second and third time around especially when you yourself told me there were issues.
At the end of the day you helped the realtor and the seller but you didn't help protect the person that was paying you to inspect the home. You should have told me to hire a roofer to inspect it if you didn't know the age of the roof instead of telling me it was 10 years old. Also, all the black stains on the hardwood floor were indicators of previous leaks and those pictures weren't in the report either.I trusted that you were being informative but I definitely made a mistake trusting that I was in good hands with your inspections.

Chelsea who called (our realtor schedule for us) and asked us questions and explained what the services they had and what we were going to have done very nice customers service! We loved how Heather explained the process and what she seen! Very up beat the price seemed good for everything they did. Working with them was easy!

First of all, what a great company. We had an inspection done on our home and it was amazing. Our inspector was Heather and she was incredible, a ton if knowledge, super personable, very precise and checked our home very thoroughly. She answered all my questions and was just super nice. Heather performed my inspection for my new home. I was unable to be at the house during the process but I am completely satisfied with the report and results. She found items that I was not aware of and that means my money was well spent. I feel secure with the results and have the sellers correcting the major issues. Mirowski Inspection did a termite inspection as well as a radon test. I am happy with all the results and would definitely recommend them to friends. Thank you, Art

Steve was absolutely amazing! He’s knowledgeable and eager to teach and show the ins and outs of how things work. Every question had an answer and he even took me via FaceTime into the crawl space. Work is thorough and he’s friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend.
