Took a 3-yr-old self-propelled push mower in to repair a drive wheel falling off. Waited a month through a backlog (fair, I guess, but maybe focus efforts to cut down to a shorter wait). Paid a total of $155 for the repair. Wheel fell off again on second pass around the yard. Took it back in, and they made me wait another month instead of getting on it right away. I picked it up after that second month, and guess what… The wheel fell off again after 15-20 mins. When I stopped in to express my opinion about their business, the desk workers acted like I was the unreasonable one. Never again. I’ll throw away a mower and buy a new one before I ever go back to these hacks.

We have been customers at Underwood Outdoor Power since 2015. They have always done an outstanding job helping us with lawnmower and chainsaw repairs. We also bought a new ECHO chainsaw from them recently which is just right for the jobs we have around the house.

Truly went above and beyond standing behind their equipment. Courteous, kind, and patient staff are there for specific individual needs and circumstances. I sincerely cannot express the knowledgable, helpful, and generous nature of the owner and staff. Their off-the-cuff suggestion was better than every other suggested solution. A donated piece of equipment was older and obscure making it difficult to find parts and unsafe to operate. Most solutions were cost prohibitive despite the well-maintained condition of the machinery. Nowhere had a good, simple solution that was cost -effective. After several dealers/parts houses/outdoor stores failed, we found Underwood. Their staff patiently listened to the issue and looked up the OEM part (approx. $900). They were understanding and worked to help with a solution that was well under $100 (and could have been less) to implement and restore the equipment in excellent condition. The machine runs perfectly, safely, and is now well-suited for our needs. They even offered to help with another solution if the first was unworkable for any reason. The experience was a truly rare and positive experience that met the needs of a customer where they were, not how was most beneficial. Strongly recommend giving them an opportunity if you have outdoor equipment needs.

I recently had the most wonderful experience purchasing a lawn mower and electric chainsaw from Underwood. I shopped around to 4 different dealerships, and not only did Underwood have the type of mower that I was looking for, they had the best customer service and the most knowledge about financing. The sales team listened to what I wanted and respected my budget as well, unlike any other shop that either wanted to up sell me or simply didn't have any options in my price range. They also provided delivery and they were able to accommodate a small delivery window for me last minute when my availability changed on the scheduled delivery day. From inventory, customer service, financing, and competitive pricing Underwood gets 5 stars all around!
