During the hottest days in history, my AC completely died… during the Labor Day weekend! Very few companies could work me into their schedule. Devin with Comer returned my call and promptly came to my house. I also corresponded with Nicole at Comer. The company made my situation priority. Mark and Cliff came early the next morning, replaced AC, tested it and had my house cool the same day. I can’t thank this Comer Team enough.

I can’t say enough good things about Comer Heating and Air. We called several local companies to advise us about our 27-year-old HVAC unit. It was beyond repair, hemorrhaging water, and dying as we were days out from leaving for vacation. One company would have been able to replace our unit quickly; however, they wanted us to advance pay, so that was a definite deal breaker. Another company didn’t send us a quote for three weeks and couldn’t have replaced our unit in a timely manner because they were so backed up. We called Comer, and they came to our rescue, and everyone was so nice and helpful from the get go. We selected our unit Friday, and it was installed the following Tuesday. The installers were professional and friendly. Our unit was difficult to remove and resulted in some minor, yet unavoidable damage to our closet frame. Comer stood by their promise to make repairs, which were completed quickly and at our convenience. We love our new American Standard unit and highly recommend Comer Heating and Air.

My heat went out in the winter. I contacted Comer and, to their credit, their serviceman came out that same day. However, he only spent about 30 seconds with the unit, said we needed a new fan motor that “would be expensive” and left. The next day, I got a phone call quoting me $1600. At a friend’s suggestion, I called another service. Their serviceman spent about 30 minutes with our unit carefully examining everything, and told me that we did indeed need the expensive fan unit. I was heartbroken, until I got the “quote” for this expensive unit. It came back with a quote LESS THAN HALF of what these clowns at Comer quoted, and it even included the labor! Comer called me back a few days after the repair and wanted to know if I needed the part. I just gave them something noncommittal about it working now. I really didn’t want to get in an argument about their exorbitant prices over the phone. Today I got a bill for a $100 service call for what amounted to second of labor. I might feel differently had they explained I would be billed for the visit whether I chose to use their service for repair or not, but at no point was I ever told this. Even when I told them that the unit was now running, I was not told I would owe a bill. Therefore, I will NOT be paying it. I highly, highly, highly do NOT recommend anyone use this company. There are other more personable, thorough, and less expensive options from my experience.

Gone too far downhill. They were great in 2019 when I had a compressor replaced, though they kept pushing their "service plan" garbage. Recently, had a very strange issue causing our AC/heat to go out. It took 5 visits over 2 weeks, lots of $$$, and still never found the issue. Called another company and they fixed it in about 2-3 days.

Comer is the absolute best. We have had trouble with our AC unit on and off for a few years and they are so nice, come out same day, are extremely affordable and knowledgeable and don’t try to push products or “fixes” we don’t need. They get it fixed fast and I’m always surprised to pay less than I anticipated. The guys who have shown up are always extremely polite and hardworking. I honestly wouldn’t trust any other company to work on my AC.

We thought we smelled gas in the house. Devin came quickly and thoroughly checked out our furnace. We were relieved to find out that there was no leak. He even checked out our gas logs and made a minor repair. All at no charge. Excellent. We are signing up for their PM program. Thanks!

I own Cissell Management Co. and have used many HVAC vendors throughout the years to service the units on the properties we manage. Comer has always had a good reputation and is a great company all the way around. They're prompt, honest and their techs are very knowledgeable.

The servicemen came and checked my air units for the season. One unit they had not installed, but they said they would like to check it for me anyway. That is good service. Appreciate their help! I had an air conditioning problem while there were guests in my house and I was on a trip. They came immediately and fixed my problem- at my house in 30 min. Works great now!
