Overall

The only thing I like about this store is the paint guy, he spent a lot of time and effort ensuring our stain was well matched. Otherwise, relatively poor customer service. I visited, called, texted, and emailed multiple times to order a window for my house, only to get ghosted, ignored, or told that you can't order a window on weekends, etc. So I come back on a weekday, still no luck. I even tried the Belgrade location, but they would not return my calls or voicemails either. Prices are also not anything special, so what's the point of shopping here if the service is below average and the prices are below average?

For those who saw the masquerade this morning at Kenyon by the garden building. I would like to happily explain how the manager didn't mind walking up to me without any greeting other than, "Is that your truck?" Aftering replying yes, The manager told me verbatim,"I need to GET." This later turned into a back and forth of me, informing him that I feel disrespected by his choice words and approach. But he continued without any apology.
I'm a working man just like the next. I have a job to do. My job is to drive around Bozeman and take pics of my truck advertising the display that Lowe's Executives paid for and requested. I do not work for Lowe's or have any ties to their organization. I simply offer a service in exchange for compensation.
I've tried explaining this to the manager, but for the enjoyment of his entitled ego, he wanted to feel and show that he was in control and thus called the police.
Afterward, I was fully surrounded by 3 policers officers in perfect tatctle style. The manager thought it was a great idea to approach me abruptly and say, "your still here" in front of the officers!
Lol I can not make this up! This was like out of a movie ?
The Police Officer asked the manager to step away. After I explain the matter to the officers. The officers responded by asking for my ID. I have not committed any crime, nor did I pose a threat to anyone. So yes, I refused to provide the Officers my ID. Furthermore, I requested that their lieutenant or sergeant come and tell me why I must provide my ID. The officers did not ask nor wanted to speak with the Manager at all. Why was I the only person being surrounded. Why is the manager not being asked for his ID. I did not hold back any of these questions when speaking to the Officers surrounding me. As a result, I did not provide my ID, I was asked to leave the premises (which I was more than delighted to do so), and I had an amazing rest of the day!
This was my experience of Kenyon Noble Lumber. You can have every tool and item a person may need in your store but if the organization management isn't great ppl at heart it will trickle down to the staff and then down to nobody not wanting to spend their money where they are not valued as paying or potential paying customers.

The guy even walked up to my truck, tacking pictures of my licensed plate. Like, come on for real. What kind of message are you sending at that point. Like I have a job I'm paid to do and you have a job. There is a professional way to handle everything, and that way the manager proceeded to handle me was definitely not professional.

This place is crazy awesome! There building is beautiful to start with but the selection of what they have in stock is the best I have found in Montana! I don't know why more lumber yards in Montana are not more like this place.

Untrustworthy credit/sales team... I was promised that I would receive Level 4 pricing on paint if I set up an account and started buying paint there. After thousands of dollars spent from myself and my crew, I looked at my statements only to find out that my pricing had not changed from what it was before (Level 3). After bringing this up to the lady in the credit department she said the sales people had no authority to give me that kind of pricing... What? Isn't that their job? Really like Richard, he's always treated me right but I won't continue to buy paint from a place that doesn't follow through on their promises.

I have given Kenyon Noble a lot of business over the years and their customer service has been less that stellar. This last weekend tops the cake. I wrote a review on both locations in Bozeman and Belgrade because if was terrible service at not only one but both of their stores.

We were looking for a specific 50 amp breaker this last weekend and we started our journey at the Kenyon in Belgrade as it's close to our house. They didn't have what we needed and refused to call their sister building to see if they had it so we drove across. When we went it the shelf was empty for what we were looking for. We asked an associate and when we told him what we needed his response was "ya right, you're never going to find one of those" He was very rude he said "that's a brand that is impossible to find" and that is how he ended the conversation! He didn't say sorry he couldn't help he just said those 2 things and walked off!

As I said on my other review, please don't just post a sign out front that says shop local and expect locals to shop with you for that reason. Where is the hometown customer service? The neighbor helping neighbor? Where is the care??

Well we ended up going to several more stores to find the part we needed and ran in to the friendliest of associates at the downtown Ace hardware that DID have the part we needed and were so friendly in answering our questions. So to the associate that told us good luck, well we found one.

We love to give our business local but don't expect it just to be given it needs to be earned. I hope next time in the not so near future when we visit the service is better so we can change this review.

I placed an order and was told I would be able to pick them up the next day. I was called the next day and was told they were wrong and it would be the following week. After calling multiple times and not having any luck getting through to the person dealing with my order I went back to the store. I was informed my order would be delayed for two more weeks. There was extremely poor communication between the service desk and me. When my order finally came in they gave me the wrong parts and I was basically told I could do a refund but would not be able to get the part I wanted. Poor customer service and very poor communication. Very disappointed as I have shopped here for years and have never been treated like this in the past.

My brother turned me on to Kenyon when I was searching for parts and materials and I find them to be quite good. I find their popcorn machine to be very enjoyable. Friendly Staff, competitive market prices. My last visit they had Led Zeppelin playing which I have to give them high marks for. Well Done Kenyon Noble. Keep up the good work.
