We really enjoyed working with Barron. We had a small project -- to add a bathroom to an existing space -- but even so Barron gave it a lot of thought. We particularly appreciated his wholistic way of looking at it; his interest in really understanding how the larger space is being used now and might be used in the future (which is somewhat complicated and multipurpose). He came up with some solutions that we would never have thought of and that also really helped us think ahead. While certainly interested in functionality, Barron is also interested in the impact spaces make on people's lives and well-being. He was also very thorough in doing all the research necessary to be sure we were meeting codes and set backs, etc. We have been delighted to work with him and would recommend him to others.

Barron is the first architect I have hired, and my work with him has reimagined what an architect is and can be! Barron is a listener and an excellent communicator. He is consistently trying to make sure my business’s needs are met, and is artful at making sure a project is both viable (financially, code, etc.) but can also reach its full potential! He starts his process from day one with his design dna, so that what needs to be heard is out in the open on day one of the project. Barron is like the leader of the orchestra. As a business owner, it is easy to be too emotionally close to a project, and let these emotions get in the way. Barron is artful at hearing and seeing us, and then communicating with another party our intentions while also making them feel heard. Our project is not yet complete, but bravo Barron, can’t wait to continue this journey.

Barron’s Design DNA process was a beautiful, powerful experience. I got to feel seen and heard in my current experience of creating a place I can call Home without shame or fear of judgement, which felt huge! And, because of Barron’s kind accepting presence, I could be much more open to my husbands thoughts and needs around Home, too. Barron really “got” what we were sharing, and with great ease and skill could shine a light for us to find our own solutions, as well as sharing many ideas we hadn’t considered. A really profound experience I would definitely recommend to others, especially couples, considering a project like creating Home or a place to call their own.

Barron exemplifies a rare fusion of artistic brilliance and community-centric ethos. I met him at a community volunteer event where he committed to donating his design services for the project I’m coordinating, Rocky Mountain Gardens. Barron has given more than the gift of architectural drawings - his exceptional ability to listen transformed our classroom project into a collaborative journey, where community aspirations are not just heard but deeply understood. He recognizes that architecture is about fostering connections and achieving a shared vision as much or more than it is about the built environment. This empathetic approach infused the garden classroom design he has created for us with a profound sense of identity and belonging. Our journey isn’t over yet and I’m excited to see the project come to life!

Our journey with Architecture of Belonging was nothing short of exceptional. From the initial consultation to the final design, every step was marked by professionalism, creativity, and a deep understanding of our vision. Barron not only listened attentively to all our needs but also took the time to truly understand the essence of what we wanted to achieve. His clarity in explaining every aspect of the design process was truly appreciated, making it easy for us to grasp even the most intricate details. We would 10/10 recommend him to all of our friends and family.
