My experience was outstanding from the first meeting through the installation. When the owner Rhonda came out to discuss options/cost, she was very friendly and very knowledgeable. There was absolutely no pressure to make any immediate decisions. She gladly answered a lot of my questions at that time as well as again prior to the install date. The installer, Erin, was friendly, courteous, respectful, patient, knowledgeable, and very competent. Despite the fact that she had other installs to attend to that day, she never rushed our installation process and made sure that my questions were answered and that everything was working properly before she departed.

We have always felt like Alarm Man provides a good product and service at a good value. Alarm Man has installed three alarm systems for us as we have moved around the Raleigh area. When we have needed a service call, they have been easy to schedule. The technicians are always professional and friendly.

When we started comparing security options, we learned that most do-it-yourself Internet-based home security is easiliy hackable, invades your privacy and can give bad actors access to your entire network and every device on it. And the national companies scalp you on the price. We got lucky that someone told us about AlarmMan of NC. If you’re thinking about a security system, we’d recommend looking at them. They’re local to Durham, very responsive, and they’re actual human beings! No customer service from India, no having to set up your own security. We’re very pleased with their service and the central monitoring. In 2017 we bought a home that had a security system. The existing system was from one of the big national companies that we’d heard many complaints about. We wanted to do business with a local company and we’d heard good things about AlarmMan. They reprogrammed the system and upgraded the components and everything worked flawlessly for several years. The central monitoring company they use is definitely on their toes and looking out for the subscriber. If there’s an unexplained alarm, you’re going to hear from them very quickly and they will not end the call until they are satisfied that everything is ok. After we did a major renovation last year, AlarmMan had to do a major upgrade. The components are now all wireless, and the communication system is cellular with a backup battery. We had a couple of kinks at first (the house had 12 doors that needed sensors) but AlarmMan came back until it was 100% right. We’re very happy and appreciate their attention to detail.

Low key sales pressure, just presented a solid background of equipment and services. Installation representative was professional, conducted neatly, and then provided good coaching on use of the equipment, what to expect from the 24/7 monitoring, and followup. Price was competitive, and happy to do business with Alarm Man.
