I needed four services from EcoMaster: 1) install insulation on the rim joist of the crawlspace so that our encapsulated crawlspace would pass inspection, 2) install a crawlspace dehumidifier and 3) install the dehumidifier controller in the living space of our home. From my first meeting with Jonathan, I felt confident about EcoMaster. The crew that installed the insulation on the rim joist did a superb job. It passed inspection on the first try. EcoMaster provided one of the best rated crawlspace dehumidifiers on the market which I had extensively researched. They installed and set up the dehumidifier which is working properly now some months later. Danielle in the office always responds in a timely manner. If I were to need more work of the type EcoMaster offers, I would definitely use them again.

When I called them (after contacting two other local companies), the nice person answering the call immediately scheduled an appointment with a calendar invite. I wasn't transferred to a voicemail, I wasn't put on hold. This is 98% of getting hired, as a majority of companies don't return calls, or respond to email/webform contacts. Now, I'm looking forward to an install- will review that later! *****After install Update*****, Jonathan and his crew did a great install job, including sealing air penetrations and adding a ziptop enclosure to around the dropdown stairs. A+ job, and at a reasonable cost, with a Duke Energy rebate. Thanks!

Jonathan and the crew at EcoMaster LLC are incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to all things concerning your home’s insulation, crawlspace and air quality. They did work on our home a few years ago and we have noticed a tremendous difference. Highly recommend!

Wanted a French drain installed at my house. After they were done there was no difference in what I had before, which was nothing. Water was and is still sitting on top of the ground and goes nowhere. They installed a 12x12 grate on one side and an exit pipe on the other side. Supposedly they came out and checked it out and told me I needed additional grading. This tells me they didn’t install a fence drain where water drains into the ground the entire length of the pipe, they installed something where water will just enters at point A and exits at point B. Not what I wanted. I emailed them multiple times and had no response. I then contacted the better business bureau. I understand now they don’t understand what my complaint is, and feel what they installed is correct. Also they tried to charge 1600 and when I didn’t want to do it I was asked for how much would it take to earn my business. When I stated 800 they jumped on it. Finding out later in the BBB complaint they did me a favor by doing it for 800. Bottom line we are not on the same page and didn’t install what I wanted and still have standing water to this day. Just be careful of hiring this company for anything other than insulation. As a follow up to this. I had another contractor come out and actually install a French drain. A French drain which included a corrugated pipe with holes on the bottom, fabric and gravel. This company ripped out what eco maters had installed. All that was installed was a corrugated pipe with no holes no fabric and no gravel. All it was meant to do was for all the water to go in a 12x12 plastic inlet and out a pop up drain about 50 feet away. If the water did not flow into this inlet it would just sit and still remain a muddy mess. Now that I have an actual French drain installed water can drain through the gravel and into this pipe with holes the entire length of the property which is what I wanted from the very beginning. I just threw money away with eco masters. If you want pictures of the useless installation please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Jonathan and his crews did a great job sealing and insulating my OLD attic. They did an energy audit pre- and post- improvements and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! They also cleared out my crawlspace and completely replaced the vapor barrier. They worked diligently without taking breaks. Even though the job took longer than expected (as is often the case with older houses) they maintained their composure and provided high quality work. I'm extremely pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

John, and his team did an outstanding job with the full attic encapsulation at my house. We chose the spray-foam application and it's made a huge difference in the comfort of the home. The EcoMaster team was consistently responsive in pre-contract questions over the phone and email, responding quickly and completely offering all the information we needed. During the job they were always on-time, courteous, and extremely professional. They cleaned up well after themselves and made sure the job was done RIGHT. When there was a minor issue they encountered, they resolved it promptly without me having to say a word. I definitely recommend EcoMaster. They did a great job for us.

Recommended I contact John regarding an attic insulation job I had done to provide an independent bid to challenge the "exorbitantly high" bid calculated by another contractor. John spent his own time with me preparing a cost analysis on the phone using the same data supplied by the other contractor and asking numerous specific questions to ensure accuracy. Results from John confirmed the overcharge/price gouging submitted by the contractor in question. John's calculated cost analysis was considerably lower and provided detailed information. I would without hesitation recommend John's company.
