Daniel Lentz was very professional and his work is exceptional! He completed the work in less than one hour, however per Ace's policy I am still being charged a 2 hour charge. I would prefer an hour reduction in cost - $110.00. If I had been advised that an additional 50% would be added for the supplies, I would have picked up the timbers, myself to reduce cost. A job that should have cost around $200.00, cost over $350.00. A senior citizen discount rate should be considered in your policy review, so I can use your services again.

A persistent and worsening issue put to rest - so glad we tried Ace Hardware’s Handyman service. Our 13 years rear entry door has been difficult to close, and shown damage around both lock-plates. Saw Ace’s ad and we decided to give it a try Daniel Lantz showed up and immediately inspected and demonstrated sticking at top and bottom on the door.He sanded both end and set to work on the lock plates area, which he determined was too damaged to be serviceable and recommended a sleeve like (security) plate - then put our 2 hour window time on pause, and went to Lowe’s to get the part. Out of stock, he sent me an Amazon link, and I ordered it to arrive in 3 days. Shortly after it arrived Daniel returned an immediately went back at the job, including altering one lock’s bore-hole. Result: it’s perfect, securing the bolts’ contact areas, and actually very attractive. The door opens and closes smoothly and easily. Love it ! When the door was finished he quickly moved on the removing a sluggish toilet tank apparatus, and installing a replacement system - all before we’d go into overtime. Daniel was great - he’s smart, professional and energetic - and he’s got all the tools he might need. No time is wasted. We’re glad we decided to try the Ace portal for this job, it sure beats calling around hoping for a call back, and that a job get done right. Ace will be our first option next time

During the estimate appointment, he listened to what we wanted, answered all of our questions and explained the whole process thoroughly, as well as made suggestions that we didn’t consider. Then when he came to do the carpentry work (storage loft in our garage and reinforce our kitchen cabinets to the wall) he reconfirmed what we wanted, was efficient, neat, courteous, professional and easy to talk to.
