Just had an extremely aggravating experience at the store.
Came in on a Saturday to buy a new snowblower. Knew which one I wanted, it was shown as in stock. Had a wallet full of cash. No problem.
Had someone go find it in the back. Yes, they have one... but it's blocked in behind stuff. Can't dig it out until the manager comes back on Tuesday.
Me:Okay, I work during the week so that's not an option. Can you hold it until next Saturday and maybe by then the manager can move some boxes?
Staff: no
Me: Then can I pay for it now and pick it up next Saturday?
Staff: no. I can hold it until Tues or maybe Wed when the manager comes back
Me: ... okay... I work during the week
Staff: *blank stare*
Anyway, this Ace just didn't seem interested in me buying a $2k snowblower and there was seemingly no option for me to do it because, and I quote, "it's buried behind stuff and we can't dig it out until the manager comes back".
Okay... message received. I'll just go buy one down the street. Pretty asinine that a manager has to be present to move some boxes.
This is a small hometown store. THEY RECONIZE YOURE FACE!! VERY FRIENDLY , MOST EMPLOYESS ARE VERY HELPFULL, AND THEREVPRICES ARE DESCENT !!! I ALWAYS ENJOY MY SHOPPING

Helpful, quick, and knowledgeable North Dakota folks. I'm usually in and out in about 5 minutes when they're not too busy.

Went in to get a part for a repair project. The customer service was great. The staff went right with me to show me what I needed. He even went outside with me to look at the size of the bolt that i needed. I feel they went above and beyond. The bolt is holding up great, and it fits like a glove.

The best hardware store period. Very knowledgeable staff, great customer service. Great selection of items, great pricing. If you need a hardware store, Ace is your place.

Employees seem nice /willing to help , usually go here to spend the few dollars more , knowing what i buy should last a bit longer , rather than going to walmart .

I looked all over for a Napoleon Prestige 500 grill and they had one in stock that was their floor model I was really excited to get that however for the price the grill was put together incorrectly bolts were stripped out and it was crooked the shelves were sagging down for $1,400 it better be perfect and this was far from it. I'm ordering it from Amazon and I'm getting it online and I will put it together so I know it is put together correctly. The employees of the store were very helpful and we're genuinely sorry that this happened it's just a disappointment they were helpful and did everything that they could have done and everything that they were supposed to do and I have no doubt that if I was in there for anything else I would be totally satisfied. It just so happens on this occasion I came in for something special and I was let down big-time

Ace truly is the place with the helpful hardware folks. While I may be able to find some items at a big-box store for a little less money, the convenience of being able to get in and out of Ace Hardware makes it worth the few extra cents. Plus I certainly save more on gas. The staff is always very friendly, they know exactly where things are and can direct one quickly to the items needed. They will not rush you but will answer all your questions to make your experience as good as possible.
