Woke up today with a very warm house as probably many of you in the mid-west!. Quickly determined that my AC capacitor was not working after a bit of research on the internet. I was able to contact Fred's Heating and Air via text messaging and within 45 minutes had a Chris the technician at my house. Shout out to Chris who has worked for the company over 4 years and speaks highly of the culture of the company. Chris did an awesome job and confirmed that it was the capacitor but also double check other parts of the system to ensure they were functioning. After watching Chris work it is highly recommended that you have someone trained in this area and not work on the system yourself. Thank you Chris for your assistance and you are a great advocate for the company you represent and very skilled at your profession!

I was able to get service promptly after I let them know I had no A/C at all. The technician knew exactly what he was doing. He checked what he needed, figured out the issue, inspected the rest of the system, and got replacement parts. I was up and running within 1.5 hours. They were upfront, honest, and didn't try to upsell. Very pleased with how my service turn out. Would recommend!

I suddenly found myself without air conditioning on a Friday evening and found Fred's heating and air on the Internet. They had a 4.9 google rating so I felt pretty comfortable in reaching out. I heard back from their office on Saturday morning and they said they could have someone out between nine and 12 . The baseline fee was $199 which I felt was reasonable for a weekend call. Their service man, Jose, reached out and let me know when he would be arriving. He walked me through the process of evaluating what was wrong with the system. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. He immediately figured out what was wrong and had the part available on his truck. He replaced the part, did a refrigerant checking , replaced the fuse, did a couple other systems checks and made sure everything was up and running before he left. He was very friendly and professional and I would highly recommend Fred's for any future HVAC service needs.

I've used Fred's a few times and they've always been upfront and reliable. This most recent visit my fan was not kicking on outside nor in the house. I had checked a few things the thermostat had been replaced a year ago so I checked the batteries, I checked the manual switch in the basement on the unit, I checked my fuse box to make sure a breaker wasn't tripped. After messing with things and trying to turn the heat on and still not getting anywhere I finally called Fred's. They were accommodating and got me in as soon as they could. Jose showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem while also being upfront with the initial cost of the visit. Turns out a wire outside with stripped and grounding out. It was a really quick fix I paid and he was gone and less than 30 minutes. And the AC was once again working. Thanks Fred's for always being reliable and working with me.

I was very impressed; from the start, the staff scheduled my appointment via text with rapid responses. Even with moving the appointment, I was very adaptable and professional! Jesus then showed up early and ready to work; it wasn't the most accessible appointment, but his communication and patience made it crystal clear what was going on and the chance of increased work/cost may be needed, which I appreciated rather than getting a surprise. Long story short, it wasn't required, and the work was done quickly, and I checked all my needs. I am now a lifelong customer.

We have been in this house for 48 years and NEVER had such good of service from any of the many company's we have used in the past. Our service today 5/20/24 was with Fred's Heating and Air. The service that we received from there service person was truly a 12 out of 10 Jim was here on time and did one outstanding job. Jim is the best service man we have ever had. Fred's did great! Fast and responsive :) Mark in sales did a wonderful job explaining the different systems, and answered all my concerns after installation. The installation and service techs went above and were very friendly. My new HVAC system is working great :)

We purchased a new furnace and AC unit from Fred’s about 18 months ago. We had a very positive experience. We received estimates from five companies, and Fred’s prices were quite competitive. It was their customer service that really sold me, though. It is unparalleled. I didn’t feel they tried to “oversell” me a unit I didn’t need. We continue to use Fred’s for regular AC and furnace tuneups and have only had positive experiences. Jose visited us most recently for an AC tuneup and was polite and professional. I highly recommend Fred’s.

Jose was respectful of my home and completed the work efficiently. He answered the few questions I had and was very pleasant. Fred’s has always treated us well and has done great work. I highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.
