We took over a terrible yard and struggled with it for years. Worse yard in the neighborhood. Bill Mar was positive and enthusiastic- told us our yard would be "worry free" with lush, tough sod. They planted trees that immediately started to die. Every time we called, we were told "someone will be out to look." They remained, very dead, for over a year until someone removed them. We assumed they would be replaced but 16 months after he did the work, he called and berated us for not knowing he didn't "guarantee" the trees. The photo is just about 3 weeks after they were planted. The "laser" grading still didn't fix the pooling water. Probably because they DID NOT install the drainage system we were promised. Bill Mar told us "it takes a little bit to see the results". Yikes, picture included. After they laid the sod, his lawn crew drove mowers through the fresh wet grass. He sent a guy back out to put patches of sod in the spots they ruined. HUGE divots STILL remain. When I asked about that, he said "I don't remember everything, I got 70 guys working out there." The neighbors were on us about firing the Bill Mar Lawn crew because they cut it so short. We have many patches that didn't survive. Charged us for drain reservoir? Not here. Don't fall for this snake oil salesman. When he gets called out, he is FAR from charming or professional. Everyone could hear him yelling through the phone about how he replaced the trees with "grasses" out of his own pocket. I wonder why he didn't take care of it last May? And yet, still the worst yard in the neighborhood.
