We had such a wonderful experience with Countertops by Design! They had a great inventory of slabs along with access to get outside slabs that most other countertop places in Omaha do too! Their prices were very reasonable, no hidden fees, had amazing customer service and worked with us to find remnant pieces for our laundry room to match our kitchen to save money too! Install was very smooth and their staff was incredible! Highly recommend!
Countertops by Design was fantastic from the time I walked in to pick out quartz, to the install. Picking out quartz I found prices to be significantly cheaper on Cambria and Silestone than any other place we looked at. Everything was on time, the installers we extremely careful, they did a great job. When there was a minor issue they fixed it immediately. We were very nervous about picking an installer that would be cautious and do a great job and these guys delivered that and we are not easy customers to please. I would without a doubt recommend this group.

We love these guys so much! They did our kitchen this summer and just used them again for our bathrooms. Everyone is so knowledgeable and professional! They have the best price in town and love supporting a family business!! Thank you so much for our beautiful Cambria countertops!

Our first contact was with Kaitlyn and she made us feel right at home. We told her what we were looking for and she explained the process they follow. We also met with the owner Jeremy who was very helpful. Jeremy came out with Dan and measured the area for our countertops and backsplash. They gave us several options to minimize the number of seams. When Dan and his crew came out to install the countertops they did an awesome job. Brian, the plumber/ backsplash installer was also excellent to work with. Everyone went out of their way to make this a great experience. They really take pride in detail. We highly recommend them.

Top notch family business. From the time we walked in to Countertops by Design, where we were professionally helped by Kaitlyn and Kristi, to the template and install crew with Dan in the lead, we were impressed by the quality of the products and craftsmanship. I had an entire kitchen and 2 bathrooms done, to start Kaitlyn was not very helpful during the process leading up. Not good at communicating, or following up, and down right abrasive to deal with if you question her.
The install went good, the guys were great and did a great job.
Post install the 2 of the sink cutouts were chipped and damaged. After talking with Kaitlyn 6 times over 3 months trying to get them to come out to fix the chips she stopped returning my calls or even answering the phone.
I absolutely would not recommend using this company for your install, as it's apparent they don't stand by their work, and they will be miserable deal with during the entire process.

Oh where do I start? DON'T use this company. Install day came and started ok until they ran into problems with the pieces THEY CUT. They came and measured on their own yet cut the wrong pieces. They left without cleaning up anything, never laid anything over my newly placed tile to protect surfaces and marked up the floors and scratched the marble in the shower. There was silicone stuck to the sinks that I had to clean off myself. All the quartz was dusty, with silicone and caulk stuck to it. Their caulk lines where messy and incomplete. They had to come back three times because of poor measuring and cutting and STILL were unsuccessful. They ended up asking my GC to set the niche tile because the crew said they had never done one. The lack of professionalism and novice nature of this company is enough to say no thanks. They were impossible to get ahold of (we had to call and email repeatedly to get an answer on when they would finish install) and rude when we gave feedback saying "they have a lot on their plate!" Cut the tile and measure right and save us all some time then. We were waiting to pay until the work was complete and they had the nerve to say our payment was past due even though the work was incomplete. Upon final inspection, there are still problems but I am so done dealing with this company, that I will now finish the cleaning and caulking myself. There are too many problems to count at this point. STAY AWAY from this place. They may be good for an easy job like a kitchen island but bathrooms are CLEARLY not their forte. If you are spending any sort of money on a remodel, go to a different countertop place.

Such a lovely family business. A year ago, I had an issue with a 4 inch gap between my countertop and built-in cabinet resulting from changing out appliances. The granite was in the house when I bought it so I didn’t know who did the original install. Luckily I found a scrap piece of leftover granite so I stopped by Countertops By Design and asked if they would be willing to cut the scrap to fit, which they did for a very fair price. When I installed the piece it fit fine but I realized I had asked them to polish the wrong edge. I was too busy (and a little embarrassed) to bring it back but every time I passed the unfinished edge it bothered me. Finally, after more than a year, I went back and confessed my error, asking if they would polish the other edge. The owner himself took the piece to the back. Less than 10 minutes later his son came out with a perfectly polished edge. When I asked what I owed, the son said, “oh, don’t worry about it. It’s on the house.” To be willing to fix a mistake that they didn’t even cause, and to do it while I waited! Amazing.

After having a great experience with them installing new quartz in my basement bar area I wanted to redo my kitchen island and do a waterfall edge. picked the color and went over in detail the design idea with owner doing only one waterfall edge because of outlets on other side of island. Install day came and it was completely cut wrong to do both sides instead of only one. The owner seemed irritated when this was not my issue or fault in any way. I also had a get together planned that evening because it was being done. They had to come back and re cut it all completely. The pieces installed have multiple noticeable scratches and marks on them which I was told would be perfected and buffed out, also the seem edge was not completely blended or smooth. I have spent thousands with this company on my counters and expect it to be perfect. The guy doing install explained that he “wasn’t the best” with quartz and that “white is the hardest color to blend” and someone else that’s awesome with quartz would come finish and blend better. This was concerning to hear and the whole thing felt unprofessional. I left a voicemail explaining everything right away after install and never heard back. No follow through at all to what I was told would be done and not made a priority in any way. That’s part of owning a business, you make sure customers are happy and what you’re putting in isn’t scratched all over. Word of mouth is everything. That’s why I’m leaving this review because at this point due to how this was dealt with or not dealt with for that matter is not professional and I won’t be using the company again.
