Ed has been there for us from the day we contacted him about designing our retirement home and he has been fantastic to work with. He made the process easy and as painless as possible. With an initial concept of the type of house we were looking for Ed was able to create an entire house. He has been open to meeting via Zoom ( as we live out of state) making this long distance partnership workable. From the start he has been open and honest with us about his role, expectations, availability and fees. Communication has been excellent, even with numerous changes along the way. We have been amazed by his ability to show us our home via his CAD program. It has been so much fun to watch him make changes in real time so we can see how our ideas change the design.
I have been building houses for well over 30 years and have used a few different designers that seem to retire on me but I have worked exclusively with Ed for the past few years and I build over half dozen houses a year. Ed is great to work with, very talented, and his 3D drawings are a great tool when most of our customers are out of town. For my end, his plans are buildable which is not always the case with plans. We were so lucky to find Ed to design our dream house in Hebron.
Ed is not just an architect, but a very creative person. He is super attentive to details and always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate us. Once the construction started, he showed up on the site (on his own time, and no extra charge) to see some of the complicated details through.

I worked with Ed at Newfound Lake Home Design to develop plans for a connected garage. Due to the difficult slope issues on my site, we had to work through numerous design iterations. Ed was super flexible and helpful in this process. After almost a year of designs and redesigns we ended up with a great solution this is being built now. Highly recommend Ed and Newfound Lake Home Design.

Contacted a few Architects, most couldn't even get a "phone appointment" for a month or two. Seemed like they all worked a 10-330 M-Th.
Contacted Ed on Friday. Then that weekend, discussed experience, reviewed information, floor plan, start to finish dates for the design, and Eds work schedule.
Told me that we can have it in time for my expected site work start date. Weekly design meetings and flexed around busy work schedules to get it all done. Completed ahead of time and that was with multiple changes (major and minor) to the design. Always available by phone for questions throughout the design.
Plans were well detailed and stamped.
Ed is very knowledgeable, flexible hours, and a great price.
