I think I forgot to post this driveway review from 2022 so I’ll include this with our second rave review for 2024. Seeing Alton Excavations work for a second time, I stick with our previous experience that I reserve the word superior for truly exceptional work and Alton Excavation earned that from us. If you want precision in execution of work, attention to detail, and good communication from a local, family operated business, Alton Excavation is the one you want. Paul is very knowledgeable about all aspects of excavation work and offers/provides spot on solutions that address your needs. In 2022 We had a retaining wall and stairs, front stoop, and driveway redone and it looks great. Paul did a great job communicating with us explaining how and why things were being done. I'm glad I took his design advice and now the front of our house has a new, streamlined look. He and his sons and other family members’ work ethic and attention to detail were evident in how they worked together and the final results. At the time we still needed two other contractors to finish up—the driveway and the front stoop (separate door issues) are now completed. For 2024 we needed to fill and regrade an area in the back yard where an above ground pool used to be. As you can see in the picture it was another exceptional, well done job. They are a hard-working group and they kept the work site neat and clean at all times. We are glad we were able to work with a local business and highly recommend Alton Excavation.
