I rented a boom lift from Balcom Brothers, and they walked me through operating the machine before we hooked it up. (I had the wrong size ball on my hitch, but they had a loaner.) While trying to back the lift into the driveway, I realized there wasn't enough clearance without bottoming out the machine. I called the office to explain the situation, mentioning that I didn't want to damage the equipment. They assured me it wasn't an issue and invited me to bring it back, voiding the rental cost. When I returned, they unhitched the lift and went through other options to complete my project. Great customer service, down-to-earth, and reasonable people, you should absolutely rent from them!
Reserved an Aerator -gave credit card over the phone. When I called back today (8 days in advance of the scheduled pickup date) to cancel the reservation, I was told they charge a 10% fee of the amount charged to the card because that's what the credit card company charges them. Well,,,,,, why wasn't I told of this policy over the phone when I made the reservation? 10% is excessive - have never heard of c.c. charging a company that much. But WHY DID THEY RUN MY CARD before I picked up the machine??? What if all companies did this - like rental cars, hotels, etc. Normally a company takes the card info to HOLD THE RESERVATION -not run the full amount until the actual event occurs. What a scam!!!!

Awesome place to rent pretty much anything you need. The staff is top notch and knowlgeable. Small hydraulic hoses while you wait or drop off a whole bunch and they will get them done ASAP. Rent party supplies, or a PC400 excavator. They will even show you how to operate all the equipment they rent.

What nice people! I was happy to find (through County Stores in fact), that Balcom Brothers has metal detectors available to rent. I had lost a "tiny treasure" which holds a great deal of sentimental value, hoping that the metal detector would do the trick. Unfortunately it did not. I did however have a wonderful experience at Balcom Brother, and that's what I call a silver lining!

We have been renting from Balcoms Rentals since they opened their doors. As owners of a landscape company there have been times we have needed a piece of equipment and on short notice. Balcoms has always been accommodating and helpful in meeting our needs. Ray is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help each and every customer who walks through their doors. Very pleased with their variety of equipment to rent and assistance when needing parts for our equipment too!
