We had our bathroom done back in 2021 and should have seen the red flags then. When the bathroom was finished, there was paint on our brand new fixtures, the tile in the shower wasn’t sealed. When they came to fix seal it, they used the wrong seal and it left the tile cloudy. Over the years, the new dry wall they installed is cracked in many places. There is a gap between drywall and corner of the bath where whatever they filled it with has eroded leaving a hole. And the latest kicker is our tub started leaking leaving a water bubble in our kitchen ceiling that recently opened up leaving a hole in the ceiling. Once we got a plumber over he told us none of the fixtures in the shower were sealed at all and that’s where all the water was leaking into. From a far the bathroom looks good but the quality of work is not there and it’s obvious there were a lot of shortcuts taken. DO NOT recommend Custom Bath at all.

We initially engaged with this company back in November based on the promising designs presented by Andrew, who impressed us with his creativity and personable approach. However, our enthusiasm quickly waned as we encountered a cascade of issues throughout the project that was supposed to take 2 weeks but ended up lasting 4 months. Our troubles began with a logistical misstep when Andrew was directed to the wrong address by the office for our initial design meeting, more than 45 minutes away from our home. This error forced us to rearrange our schedules unexpectedly—a frustrating start that should have been a warning sign. Despite this setback, we proceeded due to Andrew's likable demeanor and the appealing renderings he created. By early December, we had finalized plans, paid the deposit, and scheduled a start date with assurances from the office. However, as the proposed start date approached in late January, we heard nothing from the office. Repeated attempts to obtain updates from Andrew yielded little, with him admitting difficulty in reaching our supposed project manager, Stephanie. Finally, mere days before the supposed start, Stephanie informed us of a delay due to awaiting parts—an excuse communicated at the eleventh hour and pushing our start date back weeks. Problems continued to mount once work began. During early stages, we were inexplicably billed over $1000 for a new shower valve and minimal additional labor, which was promptly found defective after new installation and required correction that we had to initiate. Miscommunications further plagued the project. Unsupervised workers assumed incorrect specifications for fixtures like the shower head and vanity, necessitating adjustments only when noticed and brought attention to by US, the clients. Moreover, the invasion of our privacy by the master electrician, who entered our secondary bathroom one morning when the lights were on, water was running, and the door was closed, epitomized the company's lack of professionalism and left us feeling VIOLATED in our own home. Administratively, the company proved equally inept. A Scheduled building inspection was missed due to our doorbell wire being cut by the same master electrician who walked in on one of us indecent days prior, costing us days of work. Despite promises in our initial quote, no company representative attended the building inspection (only plumbing and electric had a representative present), and we were nearly charged $495 for their absence until we contested. Critical elements such as shower wall alignments and door installations were botched, requiring extensive rework and further delays. The shower walls themselves took over a month to fix due to a lack of detail in lining up the hexagon pattern that we had selected in the corners of the shower. Not until we escalated this issue to the manufacturer were we acknowledged about our dissatisfaction and offered to make it right. When we finally sought resolution from management, our concerns were met with indifference and deflection. Hervey Afuine, the owner, displayed a dismissive attitude towards our grievances, even threatening legal action when pressed about the privacy violation—an incident he refused to acknowledge or address, yet quoted that the had an "issue" with the use of the word "violated" when describing the situation. In conclusion, our experience with this company fell far short of expectations. While Andrew initially impressed us, the pervasive issues with communication, work quality, and management overshadowed any positive aspects. We are unsure as to how a “project manager” is able to get away with “managing a project” without stepping one foot in on to view the actual project in person. We still have no idea what Stephanie’s role was besides being cold, unresponsive, and lackluster in communication. The owner proved to us that he has absolutely no respect for women and only cares about his bottom line. He never once answered one email that we sent and it is clear that he does not like confrontation. KEEP SHOPPING.

From initial visit with John to the project completion the team was exceptional. We had two bathrooms remodeled at same time and while we were concerned about living through renovations the team were incredibly quiet, clean and courteous and they were completely done within 2 weeks. Their attention to detail and pride in their craftsmanship was evident throughout. I have worked with many contractors over the years on various projects and Custom Bath of Nashua is at the very top of my list. I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but I feel they deserve it. I would highly recommend them for bathroom renovations.

This was our second time choosing Custom Bath of Nashua for a renovation project. Both experiences went very smoothly. From start to finish, each element of our project was expertly mapped out to ensure maximum work completion every day. The crews were friendly and courteous, and always left the work areas clean. We especially appreciated the ability for us to purchase materials from any source (tile, grout, fixtures, etc). You'd think this would be standard in the industry, but it seems to be quite difficult to find a contractor that will allow this. Most want to control the material purchases which usually drives up the cost. What makes this company stand out from the rest is their project scheduling and execution. Complete renovation of two bathrooms with a lot of moving parts took only 10 consecutive business days to complete. I can't imagine the headache of trying to plan everything ourselves. If you want a seamless transition from demo to plumbing to tile work, there is no better choice than Custom Bath of Nashua.

We set up an appointment with a designer to come to our home to discuss adding a new bathroom and closet into the basement of a home that we would be purchasing. After receiving several calls to change dates and designers who would be coming, Andrew finally showed up on Saturday 3/9 (we were told it would be someone else). Andrew was very friendly, asked a lot of great questions and took a lot of notes about what we wanted. He said he would get back to us on Monday with a quote but would wait to provide actual drawings until he could get into the home with the plumber and to confirm measurements (not a problem at all). He was clear to set expectations that if we confirmed that we wanted to go with them, that work would not be able to commence for at least 8 weeks. Monday came and went with no estimate. On Thursday, I called the store and spoke to the owner, John, who said that Andrew had needed to speak with the plumber, hence the reason for the delay in the quote, but we should be receiving it anytime. On Saturday, my partner went down to the store, waited an hour to speak with the owner, John, asked again about the quote, he reached out to Andrew while he was sitting there, and was assured we would receive "soon". Well, here we are, on 3/24, still no quote. I guess we'll move on to someone else now. It's too bad. I knew Joe and Sue Palermo, the former owners. They were great people and delivered much better service. I am the head of a company that provides products and services to customers all over New England. When we give a date to a customer, we meet that date. And in the rare occasion something is going to prevent us from doing that, we communicate with the customer, ahead of time, the reason why. I wish all companies followed that same courtesy. Maybe Custom Bath provides a good product or service, but we're not going to stick around to find out.

After visiting the store in Nashua, we arranged for someone to come out to the house. After taking measurements and listening to our initial thoughts, John spent several hours explaining design and material options for our bathroom. Before he was finished, we had an architect's rendering showing us what the remodeled bath would look like. Pretty amazing.

Bathroom was renovated last year and still is the highlight of our home! The initial consultation was extremely thorough and lasted a few hours as they answered every question and made sure we were comfortable with our choices. Due to COVID, it took a while for all the materials to come in, but once ready, the install took less than a week. We fully gutted the bathroom and had new floors, vanity, toilet, shower, lights, and paint put in, and they even created a custom storage unit to fill a previously under utilized space. Before we made our deposit, they had a highly detailed rendering of what our finished bathroom would look like so we truly understood what the end result would be. Custom bathroom renovations are very expensive, so make sure you work with a team that takes the time to walk you through it all!

We had a wonderful experience with custom bath of Nashua! The designer came to our house with samples and ideas and helped us to select everything that we needed to completely remodel our master bath. It was so easy! Estimates for both timing and price were very accurate. Communication was fantastic. We received a call each night of the remodel with the plan for the following day. Each and every member of the team who did the work was hardworking, meticulous and polite. It was obvious they take great pride in their work. We look forward to enjoying our new bathroom for many years and will hire them again!
