Advanced Marine is a highly professional contractor. Rob Madison and his crew did an outstanding job on my bulkhead and dock. Highly and totally recommend. Professional Company from their office ( Nicole) on site crew / engineer (Jeff) Owner = (Rob). Let's face it getting a new Bulkhead is stressful and not inexpensive. Not exactly something one is thrilled to have to invest in. However, when you need to do it one wants to make sure that the Company you contract is experienced, responsive and does Excellent work. Advanced Marine passes all 3 with flying colors! They are thorough and responsive in every phase of the process. From scoping out the job, making valuable consultative recommendations on how to best achieve your desired finished project, to providing you with a quote to actual execution and completion of the job. Quality execution and meticulous communication throughout the project. One gets what they pay for and in the case of Advanced Marine you get excellent quality at excellent prices. Thank you Rob and the Advanced Marine company! My property is located in Snug Harbor, Toms River.

I highly recommend them. They are especially mindful of appropriately engineering and specifying for challenging depths. They are busy so the wait from contract to start can be a bit long but well worth it. The crew is exceptionally nice, courteo us and very hardworking. Everyone is knowledgeable and professional. We had a bulkhead redone, which a different firm underengineered the first time and it failed; so... yes, the least expensive job may actually be the most costly. We are pleased that we chose Advanced Marine Construction for round 2.

I am so sorry Lily feels the way she does. I just wanted to reply to this review on behalf of Advanced Marine. Yes we had postcards mailed out, we didn't realize they were delivered while we were on vacation. We tried to get to every estimate in a timely manner. When I called lily to tell her that her estimate was ready she reminded me that she wanted to be home. So I told her I will send him out again. We were in lily's neighborhood the following day. Our estimate guy called her from the front of her house to see if she was home ( being she worked from home). Remembering what her backyard looked like from the first time he went and told her she needed a bulkhead. he didn't think it was a good idea to spend money on a dock when her bulkhead needs to be replaced. Maybe other inspectors or contractors don't care to spend peoples money. We just gave her our professional opinion. He told her that she needed to rip up her deck for installing a new bulkhead because he felt it would save her money not to install helical augers being the deck was old. We do care about every customer and I'm very sorry for this miscommunication.

I received a postcard from Advanced Marine Construction advertising specials they currently had running in September. I called the number on the postcard and spoke to a very nice woman who told me that I would receive a call the following Monday to schedule an appointment to come out. I let her know that I work from home most days and would like to be home during the appointment and she assured me that would be no problem and that I would definitely hear from someone that Monday. I heard nothing for over a week.

Two weeks later I received a call with an estimate for something completely different than what I wanted (I want to extend my dock the length of my property rather than just replace exactly what is there) from the same nice woman. I was confused, as I never knew someone had come to my home and let her know that I was upset and wanted to request another appointment, one that I would actually be contacted and present for. She assured me that I would receive a call from an inspector to schedule an appointment.

The following day, around 10am, I received a call while out of the house from the inspector wondering when I would be home. I let him know the dates and times available (assuming he was calling to set up an estimate time) and he let me know he was already in my back yard looking at my dock, again. No prior contact or phone call, again he just showed up. He was incredibly rude to me, not understanding why he should have called prior to showing up at my home and telling me repeatedly that my bulkhead was shot and needed total replacement, despite being told my multiple other professionals otherwise. He would not say that it needed partial replacement, new sheeting or anything like that. Only total replacement would do. He also let me know that I needed to have my entire deck ripped up and replaced, which I do not and am not interested in. He was incredibly rude, I can't believe a company would hire someone so unprofessional! Why would I give a company like this money when other inspectors have been so kind and courteous, listening to my concerns and actually having the people skills to visit potential customers face-to-face?
