Service was great, Bill Norton was very knowledgeable about radiant heat. He had it up and running testing all parts which only one needed replacement. Compared to my last plumber who really didn’t know what was truly needed only wanted to charge me $$$, it paid to call First Rate Plumbing
Our swamp cooler is a Breezeair, made by an Australian company. Last year we switched to First Rate Plumbing Heating and Cooling Inc as we had become dissatisfied with their service.
The cooler well pretty well for 5 seasons. This year however, it was making a lot of noise.
First Rate came to diagnose and thought that the motor was going bad. A few days later, the motor actually stopped completely. We were worried because of the high heat. Although First Rate had scheduled us for couple days later to install a new motor, they found a window to install the new motor the same day.
The cooler worked fine for that day, but failed again the following day.
Once more, First Rate sent someone the same day to troubleshoot. The technician called Tech Support and there is the possibility that the bad motor damaged an electronic relay that allows the user to increase or decrease the speeds of the blower. The technician was able to fine tune the pulley and found a work around so we don’t have to replace the electronic relay system, which may turn out to be very expensive to replace.
We are very satisfied with First Rate for responding to our needs so promptly and to all the technicians for their expertise in diagnosing and resolving the problems with the cooler.

First Rate installed an AC unit for me, and it was the best decision ever! The installers were all exceptionally knowledgeable and kind. They did an excellent job. The install was quick and they answered all my questions. Kyle and his team are wonderful. My compliments to all those that helped. Thank you!

I have a unique passive solar house and decided to work with Ron at First Rate after meeting with 7 other HVAC companies. To make the situation more complicated, we needed to get a partial A/C system installed ahead of a full renovation we are working on. Ron was happy to meet with the architects, general contractor and others to do whatever it took to make sure we were making the best decisions we could, given the amount of unknowns. Our partial system is performing a little better than we anticipated. Ron and First Rate were willing to think outside the "Standard Sizing Calculator" box to do the best thing for this unique situation. I am a fairly educated consumer and Ron never got frustrated with my detailed questions, clarifying my understanding of how something worked and truly partnering with us.
The (fairly difficult) installation of our Mitsubishi mini-split system was done with amazing professionalism by people who are very knowledgeable and the property was left surprisingly clean; especially considering how much concrete had to be drilled through. One small thing was missed during installation and there was no trouble getting the lead installer back to take care of it.
I also had a great experience when using First Rate's plumbing service. The wrong toilet was accidentally installed and I had no issues with getting them to make that right. This is an excellent company to work with and they have earned a lifetime customer.

I had a great experience with First Rate. I had an urgent project that needed to be completed which involved moving my A/C unit from one end of my property to the other. Everyone I worked with at First rate was great: Andrea, Daniel, Ron, and the whole team that came out to do the work. They understood that time was a factor for me and got me on the schedule within a week, and complete the job (a big job) in just one day. Thank you all!

This has been one of the nicest and most professional company I've ever dealt with. They have helped us out in a bind on more than one occasion. The office staff is always friendly, helpful and professional. The technicians that have come out are always clean, wear shoe coverings inside the house and are also very professional. I would recommend this company to anyone and we love finding a locally owned business to support in our community.

Excellent communication about the problem with my water heater and the job that have to be done. I was told the cost up front and there were no surprises or extra charges at the end. The technician was courteous, respectful and willing to answer the many questions I had. Overall, it was a very good experience. They were highly recommended to me and I hope to continue doing business with them.

First Rate Plumbing was able to accommodate an inspection very promptly for a home our daughter is purchasing. Patrick arrived punctually and is a very pleasant person. He did the inspection we requested and answered all of our questions. In fact, we were so impressed, we signed up for a membership to service our heater/ cooler. We highly recommend First Rate Plumbing.
