My search is finally over. After years of trying different landscapers, I’ve found the best for yard maintenance. Their attention to detail was so appreciated, as my yard has various gardens and varieties of plants. When they weren’t sure about how I would want something, they simply asked. Believe it or not, this is hard to find. They were also knowledgeable about what many of my plants were, despite still being dormant. Other landscapers were doing a cookie cutter spring cleanup, while Whelchel was actually taking care of every detail unique to my individual yard. Although they didn’t know it, they also came at a difficult time. Our old and deeply loved little dog had just passed away and we’d buried her in a garden at the side of the house. I made her a little stepping stone and set it down where she was buried. Knowing the yard was a mess and the landscapers were coming, I decided I would go back later and properly get her stone situated after they were done. The day after they finished, my husband and I went out to take care of her stone and it was already done. Neatly set flush into the gravel and cleaned off.

A friend recommended Whelchel Landscaping and I am so glad we chose to work with the Whelchel team. They helped us come up with a design for the backyard, and they agreed to do the work in phases. The first phase is now complete. They built a beautiful retaining wall, and they really transformed the look of our backyard. The Whelchel team is experienced, really easy to communicate with, and super professional. The prices are also reasonable. I recommend their work without hesitation.

Whelchel Landscaping recently landscaped our backyard with new gravel and paver pathways. They also provided drainage provisions that is needed during monsoon season. Dave and his crew did an excellent job on the removal of old gravel and soil and the installation of the new landscaping. The crew showed up every morning on time and on a couple of days stayed past quitting time to get to a good stopping point. The crew worked well with each other and enjoyed a positive camaraderie. Bill Whelchel visited several times during the duration of the project. The work was performed to my desired expectations at every phase of the project. A couple of post-job items were handled in expedient fashion. We would recommend Whelchel Landscaping & Construction to anyone who is planning any type of landscaping.

Whelchel's team worked tirelessly to reinvent our two backyard spaces that had been well "lived in" by our young dogs over the last few years. Cory and the crew did amazing work on our yards; they came up with great ideas, were meticulous, quiet, respectful, went ABOVE and BEYOND, and cleaned up the site well each day. After many long hours and days, they left us with two beautiful, well graded, easy to maintain, water saving areas; one for the pups and one for the people to enjoy! They raised, leveled, and graded a dog run, installed synthetic turf, gravel, a chain link fence, and a unique concrete ramp. They installed low maintenance plants, gravel, a smaller area of synthetic turf, beautiful large flagstones, installed a drip system as well as installing two very tall 4" posts to perfection in the main backyard area. Bill was gracious enough to allow us to add a couple of last minute items to the long list shortly before the work began. One of which was a beautiful brick edging that was done with so much precision that it really neatened up the space. We are just thrilled with the end result and would highly recommend them!

Company was quick to reach out and schedule a time to come out and provide a quote. Dmitri was involved and very responsive and informative on every step of the project and options we had for the project in our back yard. Quality materials were used and project was on schedule. I was very pleased with the consideration they took during the install and the final product came out amazing. Given the busy time for landscaping the turn around from accepting the project to start was very reasonable and any questions I had thru the process were quickly and adequately answered by Dmitri. For sure a repeat customer for future landscaping needs.

I have no regrets hiring Whelchel Landscaping to redo our front and back yard! Dmitri was professional, responsive, accountable, and he and his crew did a phenomenal job! Dmitri gave me options on colors for the front and backyard rocks along with recommendations, and was able to get started quickly after meeting him for an estimate. They removed weeds, layered new weed barrier, added new rocks, trimmed bushes, and did general yard cleanup. They were done within 2 days left everything immaculate. I am very happy with the result, and I really recommend Whelchel Landscaping for your landscaping needs!
