Ray Flores was a fantastic technician. Great communication throughout, had lots of helpful ideas and suggestions, and always worked quickly. I would highly recommend A1 to anyone in the Santa Fe area.

From initial estimates and options, through ordering and installation, dealing with A1 was a fantastic experience. We especially want to call out and thank our installer, Gregory Y. He was prompt, courteous, super-friendly and most of all--REALLY skilled. By himself, he removed our heavy 18' wood door, installed the new door, lift, trim and all controls and left our garage spotless. He gave us great instructions, showed us how everything works, and left his contact info for any follow up questions. Exceptional skill, exceptional service, and a new door that looks fantastic. Highly recommend Gregory and A1.

One of my two, 4 year old Genie 7550D openers stopped working. A relay clicked but there was no motor movement at all. A1 tech shows up and after bad mouthing Genie before doing anything, tells me the belt is worn. This opener is used perhaps 20% of the time as the other and both belts look new to me. After doing the door “tuneup” he tells me he “got into” the opener as much as he could and couldn’t get it going. Shakes his head when I ask about adjustments like pressure or travel. Then he flips open his sales book and offers a $505 Liftmaster opener to fix the problem. I said I’d think about it. The next day I get onto Genie’s website and find the travel adjustment instructions. The buttons kinda disappear on the bottom of the opener but you’d think, I think anyway, that a garage door tech working every day with with every brand on the market would know about such adjustments. Something really started to smell. Followed the instructions, the door moves, we adjust the travel limits and it’s all working. Don’t know why it stopped but it’s working now. The second opener has never failed. $505 for a new, unnecessary opener and if I hadn’t tried to fix it myself I never would have known better. If this isn’t fraud legally it is IMHO, fraud actually.

James was an excellent customer advocate. When it seemed like my order would be delayed, he installed the door himself and did a meticulous job. He was clear on explaining every detail about the gorgeous new door and opener. He is a great asset to the company and because of his work ethic I would recommend him to anyone I know. Thanks again for going above and beyond.

Having had many bad experiences with another garage door company (Overhead Doors), I decided to give A1 Garage door services a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Their communication was outstanding, and they got here the very next day for a barn door opener repair that I have been having issues with. Again, installed by Overhead doors and repaired by them 3 separate times and it still does not work right. So, I called in the A1 team and got rid of the "F" team. The technician contacted me by phone this morning telling me what time he would arrive, and he actually showed up on time. Imagine that someone that shows up when they say they will. I explained the issues I was having with Dylan; he diagnosed the problems and we decided to replace the whole roll up door unit which was a lift master 8500. We are going with a newer version that will work off your phone, called a 98022 which I ordered from Amazon and will be here Sunday. The Technician, Dylan will be back Tuesday to install it. It just does not get any better than these folks. This is what service is all about. In touch, on time and they do not try and take my wallet with them. Good price, good people. I highly recommend them for your overhead door needs.
